Introduction

I am a "newblogger." Though I've been blogging for several years, I seem to have lost my motivation to write and network with other bloggers...

I have a small blogging niche as a veteran homeschooling mother with a special interest in homeschooling children with special needs. I have two real life special ministries involving including people with special needs in faith communities and supporting others who homeschool children with special needs.

As a stay-at-home mom, my other passions in life include my Lord & Savior, my family, reading and cooking.

I am extremely introverted so blogging has been a nice outlet to express myself. I have never considered myself to be a writer. I find that I work very hard, perhaps too hard, to find just the right words to express what I mean to convey.

I have many written works on the internet. They are informational pieces about homeschooling children with special needs. I have also written an e-book with the same subject.

Now, I need to learn how to be a good blogger!

Amateur Chef Joins World of Blogging

Always dreaming of having her own food column, Chef Sunday is introducing her own blog. It will contain whatever is cooking on the Sunday Stove and what is happening food-wise around T-town. The blog will also cover travels and interesting experiences of the author that pertain to food and life. An avid farm share participant for the past 13 years, she is eager to discuss what to do with all the leftover spinach or beets from the share that week. Please join in following her adventures.

Blogging 101

!Making a blog worthy of reading is something you can learn from Blogging 101!

I already have a blogger account but no one is reading it and it seems like I would have to pay to get real exposure. Just giving it to family and friends is not a real solution. I am frustrated with this because it's just like a personal journal and I want to share with the entire world. The other thing I do not get is that I have to find a "nitch" which is something I love to write about and can write about as an expert. It's the narrowing it down to ONE THING that I cannot seem to handle right now. My expert knowledge is in Cosmetology but I am no longer in that field of interest. I have moved on to the legal world as a Paralegal. It amazes me that attorneys nor the general public KNOW what the Paralegal is able to do! Yes, a legal secretary but more glorified and able to do everything but charge for services, represent clients in court, giving legal advice or accepting clients. Yes, paralegals perform the same functions as an attorney. They can recognize and evaluate relevant facts and legal concepts, organize, analyze, communicate, and administer; resolve conflicts, negotiate, and relate well with various types of persons, often when these persons are in distress.

Raised by the wolves - and hungry

My name is Aitcheff and I majored in English and Folklore until I decided that I liked to eat often - and well. Since that time I've been a photographer, writer and all around paddlebum.

For those not familiar with the term, paddlebums are people who will use any excuse to get into a canoe or kayak. My most often used excuses are "research" and "I think I've got a story here." The only thing that saves from spouse and kids is that I often do come up with a story from the trip.

Like all paddlebums, I'd love to hear your stories. When was your last trip? Where did you go? Why was it such a great experience?

All about me

I am a newbie blogger checking out this course. The hope is that I can start a food blog that someone maybe remotely interested. I love cooking and trying out new recipes; I also like to share those recipes, so a blog seems the perfect place to do this.

A Newblogger's First Blog

Well, I've done a lot of writing and read a lot of blogs. This, however, is my first post on a blog. I am a bit of a technodummy. I've been wanting to create a blog for some time but it always seemed beyond my limited internet abiltities. Enough now. No more procrastination. Thousands of people have blogs so how hard can it be? I shall get a simple blog up and running and share my thoughts with the world in the hope that the world will share its thoughts with me.

To Be Honest

I signed up with a mentor program and I on August 22nd, I launched a website called The Bird-Friendly Garden Shop a few weeks ago, so I'm now in the "marketing" phase.  I haven't sold a thing.

My mentor-coaches keep telling me that blogging really helps their sales.  I'm intimidated by blogging and really don't know where to begin -- the idea of blogging about bird feeders, etc. really isn't something I can even begin to think about creatively.

In addition to the web store, I'm using Auctiva to list some of my on eBay and my Auctiva store is called "Rootey's Roost."  There is a blog function there where I can write blog entries.  But again, I'm intimidated and don't know what to write or where to begin.

What I really would like to do is write a blog about my life in general (I recently retired and moved to a small town) and somehow work my internet business into it.  But I have no idea how to do that.

So I thought I'd take a course.  Rootey :)

"Who Am I?"

I am a curious little bean. The littlest bean in the garden. I'm green, I'm juicy, and I live on a vine that has its roots deep in the soft, luscious, soil. I have absolutely no experience blogging, but I'm purty darn clever and not very much afraid, so I think I'll be ok. If only I can keep my vine from climbing around the power cord on the computer now...
