My First Post
I have had two, what I consider strange occurances already as a newbie!! First, when I took my quiz, I passed with 100%! I swear I don't know a thing about blogging. I wasn't quite sure what to do as the instructions said something about jumping to the link in the upper right hand corner. Not wanting to miss any training however, I watched the You-Tube Video and now I continued to where I am now. I certainally have read quite a lot about blogging trying to determine how serious I am about beginning a blog. This however didn't explain why I scored so high on the quiz. More about that later.
Second, as I was logging in so I could post this I was notified that, surprise, there was a problem verifying my password, you know, the one given to me by this course. I was to enter my cell phone number so the password could be changed. Now I have a differant password than was given to me and by some miricle I was lucky enough to pass the first quiz with flying colors. Quite a beginning if you ask me.
As far as my blogging future, I determined to take this free pre blogger class and then take the blogging 101 class to begin my blogging experiance. I generally have a difficult time beginning things and not finishing them. After much consideration, I have decided to take both classes and after that I have set a goal for myself to have a blog up and running within two months after completeing these classes. Also included in my goals is to post no less than twice a week and more aggressive as this blog grows.
My problems as I look forward are running out of interesting things to post as well as how to generate money from my blog. I do understand a bit about adsense as I tried network affiliation in the past. That didn't work out as I realized that alot of affiliates use landing pages to make sure that they get credit for the sale of a particuliar product and to be sure they collect their commision. Google was extreemly unhappy about this and they made it difficult for affiliate marketers to operate under those conditions. That is when I decided to begin a blog. Not only could I discuss things that were important to me but also work adsense, and other marketing materials into my blog without the wrath of Google being involved. As it turns out, as long as you are providing a service and not just a landing page, they don't mind a bit.
So, good luck to all of you other newbie bloggers, maybe we can come up with a solution for the world economy but that is another post. In fact there are probably at least 3 subjects to write about in this post. Good luck to all who are serious about blogging.

Getting Started
I am a young women interested in posting about my life on the web. It is that simple for me. I like most people my age started out with a messenger serves then Myspace then Facebook and this is just the next step in the progression of things. I decided that now is as good of time as ever. I am recently married and moved far way from home base. In still wanting to share thing with my friends and family back home but in a more personal way I came up with this as a better alternative to those social networking sites. I figured on it not being too difficult so diving in head first and getting things right the first time seemed to be a good idea. I learned very soon that when a site says simple and great for everyone they are most certainly not talking about someone who has little to no http knowledge. So, after purchasing a web server and theme for a site more than a month ago and having a empty web page to this day I came here for the knowledge I need to put me in the category that they speak of as everyone.

From SEO to Blogging
For the last year or so, I have been writing SEO material for numerous, varied internet sites Recently however, due to different reasons, the revenue created from these sites has fallen through the floor. For some this is a major problem if not a catastrophe. For me it’s not a problem at all, but more of a decision maker. The money I earned was nothing to write home about and the process of writing and publishing an article was not particularly fulfilling. I consider myself to be somewhat opinionated and this is not really the acceptable style of writing for the sites I was contributing to.
The more I think about it, the more I get the impression that blogging is the ideal outlet for the way I like to write. To make an opinion on a topic and to receive relevant and informed feedback inspires me more than just writing and forgetting soon after.
I have dabbled blindly in the Blogosphere, but have realised that if you want to do something, you should really go about it in the correct manner and receive the appropriate training. Hence, that is why I am here.

Introduction
I have a small blogging niche as a veteran homeschooling mother with a special interest in homeschooling children with special needs. I have two real life special ministries involving including people with special needs in faith communities and supporting others who homeschool children with special needs.
As a stay-at-home mom, my other passions in life include my Lord & Savior, my family, reading and cooking.
I am extremely introverted so blogging has been a nice outlet to express myself. I have never considered myself to be a writer. I find that I work very hard, perhaps too hard, to find just the right words to express what I mean to convey.
I have many written works on the internet. They are informational pieces about homeschooling children with special needs. I have also written an e-book with the same subject.
Now, I need to learn how to be a good blogger!
