Full time Mom, Part time Librarian

I never realized how much time and energy it would take to raise four children. They exhaust me and they have also given me the fondest moments of my life. I could talk about them, and I do, all day. Having four children also means that my house is not the neatest. I'd much rather push them on the swing or kick the ball around. Being a mother is my number one priority and joy, but it doesn't pay well so I also work part time at the Library. I enjoy my job and will enjoy it even more when my kids are all in school. It is very saddening to have to leave your 1 & 3 year old to go to work. Not being able to pick up your elementary kids from school because you are still at work. I am just thankful that I can spend more time with them than I do at work. Being a mom is the most rewarding job ever!

Here goes nothing

Previous experience with blogging - none. Like to read them - always wonder what I could write about. Can I even write? Why would anyone be interested in what I have to say? Well, I am hoping this course will release my inner blogger. We will see!

Seniors Ever tried to sleep in a factory?

How can we sleep with all that blower noise?
My previous hub page was about the ceiling falling to to floor. Please read and then continue here. It's an ordeal for sure.
Seniors, have you ever heard factory blowing noises all the time somewhere during your youth? Well just try to sleep with all that going on. You see, the floors were so wet with tons of water, after the carpet was pulled out, that Serv Pro had to install 15 blowers blowing all over the floor and in some places pointed up to the ceiling, trying to dry it out. They unfortunately said it would take several days. SEVERAL DAYS!!!! The place sounded like a car wash sounds as it is blowing your car dry coming thru the chute. OK Just have to bear it So at 11:50 pm that fateful night the Clean up guys left us with all the blowers going full blast. HEY NOW WHAT HAPPENED! All the lights are out. It's dark in here. Yeah I know Circuit breakers. Ok get the flash light.
Go down in the basement with the flash light and trip the breakers back on. Good back on. Wham back off again. WHAT? Think. OK I know I've got to unplug some of those blame high powered blowers. It's drawing too much electricity. Right? Yeah ---this Senior knows a thing or two. Try it out, trip the breakers again and GOOD, lights are on and the remaining 12 blowers are working. Yeah, I learned all about that when I was in my 30's. Who says us Seniors forget???
Go upstairs and turn on the big house air conditioner. WHAMMO NO LIGHTS ANYWHERE. I mean not just some breakers but everything. Wow, the Spouse is really STEAMING. I'm glad it's dark. She at least can't find me. OK got to think. What is it?? Got to think like they taught me in Military School back in the 50's.
YEAH It has got to be the MAIN ELECTRIC COMPANY BREAKER OUTSIDE the house. Right oh for sure. Ok first cut the air conditioner upstairs off. It was drawing too much power with all these other high power blowers going. THE SPOUSE IS STILL YELLING saying what in the blank blank blank am I going up and down the steps for, get some blame lights on. A great thinker has to learn to work under distractions, so I'm up for the task. Us Seniors know how to do it, right??
Now still got flash light, going outside to the power company box. Open up the box from the bottom side like I had seen it done. OK where is the blankety BREAKER?? Oh yeah that must be it. It's larger than I had expected. All right, now turnnnn it off all the wayyyy off just like I had seen that done also. And, now turn it on again, right? RIGHT! LIGHTS ALL ON. Us Seniors have won again.
Ok so back to the sleeping. We had lots of blowing air but no air conditioner. It sounded like a factory as I said, but you know what? I slept six straight hours. That's good for us Seniors Right?
More next time

How oblivious can one be?

Up until now I have no experience following, reading or writing blogs. Oh, wait... I did stumble upon that great cookie recipe. That was a blog. Also ran into this list of links for funny videos. Ok, I admit I want to write a blog about my own interests, but never got around to it... until now. This is me learning how to write a blog.

My first Blog

Well, I am here to learn how to write a successful blog. I have joined a local martial arts academy and want to keep track of my progress as well as inform my friends and family about my experiences. I will probably make a ton of mistakes along the way, but will look at it all as a learning experience.

About my impending involvement in the blogosphere.

It's about time to become involved in this most 21st century undertaking. Being a child of the 20th century appears to be minor impediment which can, indeed, be overcome with a bit of online education and personal application.
That's what this exercise is all about.

WATCH OUT! Here we come!
that's all for now

MY HOBBY

MY HOBBY

Photograpy has always been a part of my life. Being able to capture such beautiful sites such as the usual sunsets, scenic views and beach scenes, I love to capture my children being themselves. I believe candid shots are the best.

All About ME ME ME

New to the Blog World, thought I would give writing a go. I love to express myself as my family and friends would tell you. I am a mom, friend and unemployed....... My favorite place in the world is the beach. The sound of the waves, the salt air and the warm sun can melt all troubles and blues away. As Kenny Chesney sings so poetically, " The sun and the sand and a drink in my hand..." That is my approach to life, what happens happens for a reason and it is up to us on how we handle the many waves that come our way, no matter how big the swell keep your head above water and swim.
