My denim blog

My name is Sam and I'm a self confessed denim diva. I love denim, it's a fantastic fabric and really brings people together in a funny way. It also upsets a lot of people mostly women who may find it diffilcult in finding a great fitting pair. This is a problem with a saturated Market and not knowing where to look. I have over 15 years styling experience and know exactly where to find great fitting jeans whatever your shape or size. I have decided to start a blog to offer my experience to anyone who is looking for some guidance when shopping for jeans.
Your welcome to email me any questions as will be happy to help you.

Not So New Blogger

I have done some blogging before. I already have a blog (www.sweettoothsecrets.com) that I started a few years ago at a friend's prompting to write about all of the baking that I do. I started baking as a kid and always enjoyed it, but then a few years ago baking became my salvation for dealing with an annoying job and other frustrations, which was when I discovered how much I LOVE baking. I've also maintained a blog before for work. I am already comfortable with the basics of updating a blog and adding pictures and such, my problem is how badly I neglect my blog (several months now without a post even though I have been baking. I am going to have to play catch up yet again). Also, I want to improve my writing on my blog to try and open up to a lager audience than the tiny handful of close friends who follow my blog so they can harass me about when their next delivery of goodies is. lol

World-Be Writer to Blogger

For a would-be writer such as myself, blogging is the perfect answer. I can write about my favorite subjects without worrying about whether or not what I write will be published. By just the touch of a button, I can send my thoughts into cyberspace. Somewhere out there, it is hoped that I will reach someone or a whole community of someones who will be interested in what I have to say and a connection will be made. I will no longer be the closet writer toiling alone in obscurity, but a member of a community.

A new hobby, a new start

I would like to start blogginvg to give me a creative outlet and to share my knowledge with as many people as possible.

I read several blogs and I believe it is an amazing new medium for creativity, teaching, mentoring, socialising and a voice to challenge the media and politcians. A real voice for the people.

To be honest I am nervous and clueless on bloging and its world. I have one in the works as I write but I get very concerned it's not moving fast enough.

Lets see where I am with it in one year. To our success!

Hobby? What's a hobby?

I suppose if I were to list a hobby it would be electronic gadgets, as I am addicted to them.
I have always been a gadget freak but of course only acquired the capitol to fund it as an adult.
I find it simply amazing that our lives can be enhanced so much by something so small.
Collecting as much info as possible is always a pleasure as it equips me with info needed to stay current.

Introduction to a mind gone awry

Awry. Oxford English Dictionary defines this term as - away from the usual or expected course; amiss.
In a nutshell, that's how I perceive my train of thought, not genius not moronic, but certainly off the beaten path. I'm not claiming to have new insight or ground breaking profundity just questioning the unquestioned. The A.D.D. is a blessing of sorts.
I'm just a regular Joe with a proclivity for pondering. There is no rhyme or reason to the topics I find ponder worthy, hence the scatter gun posts that will no doubt pepper my blog. The only thing I hope for said blog, is that I eventually end up with some sort of coherence that benefits my nonexistent writing skills.

Blogging 411

I am so excited about finding this website and looking forward to learning information on blogging. I am an 37 year old accountant by profession, but have so many other interests including being a mom, politics, computers, and photography just to name a few. This is something I would love to turn into a full time career, but my main purpose is to open up discussions on the state of affairs in the United States.

Looking forward to learning all I can about blogging.

The voice of a female designer

I am a female in the architectural community with a passion for sustainable design. Reading friends blogs and managing my personal Face Book page is the extent of my blogging experience. However my curiosity in blogging lead to participating in a seminar by Joel Mitchell, author of, "Six Pixels of Separation." From the seminar I gained an appreciation for blogging as a vehicle for individuals to find their voice in the field they are passionate about. Join me in my journey of creating a blog about women in design and how their approach to design is, not better or worse, but different than the way men approach design.

Yes I think I am a blogger and I'm a blogger because I think

I've blogging for awhile but I never took it so serious until now, I have more than one blog: A personal one and a business one, when I discovered the word "blog" I did my researches and found out that it is possible to make money blogging, so I started my first blog and I was so excited to make some money so I published like about 5 or 6 posts and figured out that blogging require more than patience and in order to make some extra cash you have be a good writer to attact readers. It doesn't happen before you can say "Jack Robinson". I have a blog about blogging and I signed up for this course to learn more, I am not a professional but I know some so I hope I can learn more and start blogging like a pro!

Thank's for creating this course.

WHY I LIKE TO BLOG

I like to blog because I feel I have a lot to share to everyone else around me. My experiences both fun and sad, positive and negative, exciting and sobber - they all have been learning opportunities for me. And sharing them will help give others a perspective. It may perhaps inspire them to go on or perhaps, spare them from trouble. All this desire to blog started because I enjoy reading blogs. The blogs I visit ( on my career, music, health, inspirational stories and humorous stuff) are very stimulating and i am encouraged by the thought that my experiences will have the same effect on my readers.

Growing business hires inexpereinced blogger

I have recently been hired to do online marketing for a company that is launching a new U.S. division. My job entails managing the website, social media outlets, and the blog. The only problem is: I HAVE NO CLUE!! I manage my own personal Facebook page pretty well but I've never written anything that was meant to be read by lots of people, much less anything that would represent a business well.

My Debut Blog

Hello all, I am a new blogger in cyberspace. Since long i have been waiting to get exposed to the world of blogging and it happened now. This interest in me was kindled after reading through a lot of blogs written by my friends and other famous bloggers. Now i have taken the first step of creating my first blog and hope the blog space would see some more posts from me in the near future.

Foodie

I have started blogs a few times over the years, but I only have lasted a week or so and then I quit. I've done it maybe three or four times. It's always about food. One time I started one and I was going to try to eat only local food for a month, a year. I had other ideas too. I didn't know anything about it but wanted to write. I still want to write and think blogging will be a great way to do that. I have so many ideas I want to write about. All surrounding food and eating local and being a vegetarian and food sensitivities and being gluten free and politics of food. I could go on and on. Should I focus it down, simplify it or can I just blog it all?

Happiness

I'm Elisa and I want to make a blog about happiness.

I have heard and read about blogs. I have even browsed a few blogs.

I have read expressions like"Wordpress" and "Blogger". I gained this acquaintance because of my interest in making money online.

But I have never put up a blog nor made a post in one. This is my first time of doing so. And am I excited! From now on, I will study blogging and blogging skills and techniques so that I can use blogs as a part of my communications mix for my internet marketing.

I'm relying on this course to get me started, support me all the way.

My First Time Blogging

I am new at blogging. I don't know to much about it except for what I have heard and what I have read on line. I decided to try this because I think it will be fun and maybe give me alittle extra money in the future. I have been unemployed since March of 2009 and now I am on disability. I needed something to do at home to keep me busy. So I figured I would try blogging and see how it goes.

Virgin blogger!

Hi, i have read many, helped with story ideas for many but never actually thought about writing one myself ....a blog that is. But as i sit here now, poised to launch my dream business venture, incorporating two of the things i love most, I realise a blog is one of the most important tools i can use to help promote and spread the word of my new endeavour.
I have written articles, stories, theses, you name it for educational purposes or for work, but to write a blog leaves me slightly bewildered and not quite knowing where to start. How will i keep readers entertained and wanting more? How do i stop it being too "dry" and overly informational and how can i incorporate humour or any witticisms? What about the design layout? I need this to have the feel of luxury but be fun yet informational at the same time. My new business venture involves a property finding business in the South of France so my blog needs to incorporate everything to do with life in that area. Well, here goes ..... nothing like the present to launch that new idea!

And away we go....

Hello blog world. I have always been a big fan of the television show, "Sex And The City". When the show was on HBO I never missed an episode. My favorite part was always when Carrie, our leading lady, sat in front of her computer and began writing her newest article about what it was like being single in New York. We would see those letter flash across the screen posing a new question which lead to the theme of the episode.

Recently I relocated from a small college town in the midwest to Los Angeles and plopped myself right in the heart of West Hollywood. Being in the middle of the action of what people call "boys town" I began to question what makes this community and its inhabitants tick. What are people thinking about while they hang out in the lively bars on Santa Monica? Are they just having fun or is there a deeper meaning to all this activity?

Then I thought that this would make a great theme for a blog. So here I am to learn the fine art of blogging. While I have had a little experience with photo blogs in the past, I was never really satisfied with the content. When I take the time to sit down and write I enjoy the thoughts and discussions which I create. But doing it is a battle with so many other things tugging at me. That's why I decided to take this course with the hopes that the process of learning more about this craft will help me define my own thoughts and give me some discipline to maintain and share some great content. Keep your fingers crossed. I have some good discussion ideas and thoughts to share. I hope that it pans out and maybe you will join me as a reader on the journey.

From Hobbit to Hobby

Reading!

Ah, from the time I picked up Tip, Tip and Mitten, then Dick and Jane - I have enjoyed reading. Boy, did I just date myself saying that! Reading has always been a struggle as I am dyslexic but anything can be overcome with enough desire.

Reading, to me, has always been more than a simple escape. It is my way of talking to the authors of the ages.

The Creation of a new Monster

I am a writer - my name is Mary Godwin - don't worry, that is just my nom de plume. I even made it to IMDB last year with my first credit! I hope to follow with many MANY more from here - that wasn't even getting my toes wet in the ocean of Hollywood. That is why I'm here. I want to blog about the experience of writing a screenplay and selling it.

I'll begin by telling you how I came to choose the name Mary Godwin for my pen name. Do you know who wrote Frankenstein? A young woman, only 18 years old, named Mary Shelley. She was married to the poet Percy Shelley. Before she married Percy, her name was Mary Wolstonecraft. Her mother was also named Mary Wolstonecraft - her mother was also a published author. Mary, the mother, was a feminist who didn't take the name of her husband when she married because she felt it "perpetuated the patriarchal oppression of women in society" to do so.

Mary Wolstonecraft (the mother) died just 10 days after the birth of her daughter. The father, William Godwin, raised the daughter with her mother's name instead of giving her his last name.

Had Mary Wolstonecraft, the mother, taken the name of her husband, Mary Godwin would have been a published author. Had the daughter been given the name of the father instead of the mother's name, Mary Godwin would have once again been a published author. I'm here to see that Mary Godwin is a published author - finally. But, as with all my stories, there is a twist ... this twist I'm afraid you'll have to wait to discover as soon as I know just how much information I should put about myself out there in the blogosphere.

Blogging with Training Wheels

I'm a 26 y/o single mother and my BFF convinced me to start a blog which we titled "The Upside of Mom", about my life as a single parent raising a 16 month old daughter alone, and the struggles, challenges, and triumphs my daughter and I face together.

Problem is, I'm one of those people who has trouble committing to things - relationships, projects, ideas, its almost always half-done. I find myself with little free time to write daily, and I found I struggled with new and interesting ideas to post about relative to the overall general topic of the blog. I never did a blog before, was oblivious to what it entailed, and for now, The Upside of Mom is password protected and on hiatus until I figure out what the hell I am doing.

My other BFF, Lauren, who lives on the other side of the country, is my confidante and my sounding board, and she has been encouraging me to get back on the horse, except maybe this time I should also write about my passion for cooking, the law, and of course, finding true love-all of this while raising a toddler, and relentlessly searching for a new, better job.

The upside of it all is that I've found a man who likes me just as I am-complicated, intense, deep thinking and funny, despite my flaws. I have a feeling this could lead 2 something magical

So goodbye mediocre ramblings disguised as a blog, hello world welcome to my life.

Late Bloomer

Hello! I'm new to blogging. I like the concept and am trying to learn more about it.
I found this Free Blogger Course on-line and signed up for it. I'm excited to learn about this medium for writing. I look forward to learning as many ins and outs to it that I can.
I enjoy writing but have only done so for myself, to work though situations, decisions to be made, and letter writing for my employers.
I'm very appreciative of the generosity of the people who offer this free course to teach and help others like me learn more about our on-line voices.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you!

A favourite hobby

Playing in the kitchen is my favourite hobby.

I've been interested in cooking since I was a kid, but in the past 5 years or so, food has become almost an obsession.

I love the satisfaction of providing a tasty, nourishing meal for my family & friends. Bonus points if it looks pretty.

This site is one of my sources of inspiration.

Introduction - Blogging Course

Well I have started another blog on this website for fun and also because I would like my students to use this format for journaling. Before I assign it to students I want to know as much as possible! My current blog is a posting of cards and cakes that I have started making. I envision myself starting a part-time business focusing on these skills! So far I have one follower. I would like to learn how to make a 3-column blog, how to move things around in the blog (beyond the basics in blogger editing), and how to get others to look at the page.

Going Kicking and Screaming into the 21st Century

Technology is moving too fast for me. In high school, I bragged about typing 93 words a minute with 3 errors on a manual typewriter. This year two teens won $100,000 for texting 120 words in 2 minutes and 28 seconds.
A friend coerced me into joining Facebook and then taunts me with email messages about writing on my wall. I'd sign in again, if only I could remember that clever password I created.
My co-worker set up my workstation on a virtual server. I don't get it. I made him sit an unplugged computer under my desk.
My grandkids asked me to play WII with them. I thought someone has misspelled a video game about WWII. It's uncomfortable for me. I've flung the controller, hit myself in the head with it, and lost every bowling match I've played to a 6-year-old.
Blogging just seemed like the next hurdle.

1st Post for Free Blogging Pre-Course

Ok. So I have quite a bit of experience with reading blogs. I can lose several hours blog surfing. I even have a little experience with writing a blog. The problem is that I don't really generate any actual interest in reading my blog. This would be the very obvious reason for taking a blogging course. At one time in my life I actually fancied myself becoming a writer. I was even fairly good at writing. At this point though my writing just seems boring. Maybe it's my life that is somewhat boring. Hmmm...I guess being the mom of 9 kids just isn't all that exciting and glamorous. I mean 9 isn't 17 and counting. There were no multiples. So other than being slightly larger than the typical family, homeschooling and a couple homebirths we are just rather ordinary.

Getting a Blogger Life

So here I am learning a bit more about blogging... I do have some basic knowledge about blogging just by looking and reading blogs, but it is always great to learn the insights of it!

Australia to Italy one way

My name is Jill and I have been living in Italy for 10 years. After working as a chef/pastrychef in various Sydney hotels and restaurants for many years my tasebuds brought me to Italy. Here I fell in love with a tall, dark and handsome Italian. Even after 10 years I still stuggle with the language, the culture and crossing the roads safely. I have had more than my share of embarrassing moments, plenty of fun times, eaten in some wonderful places, have given birth in a provincial Italian hospital (not advisable) and have seen many unique places. I have a blog but due to technophobia (really, I am an an embarrassment to my generation) I have never used it. I am however enthusiastic to share some of my experiences, advice and recipes.

Some things about me...

Hi! This is my first step towards the land of blog. I have been toying with the idea for quite some time now, but sit frozen in front of my computer when I decide to start. This time though I'm pushing myself to conquer my fear, basically of ridicule. It is, after all, out there for the whole world to see. If it works, its great. If it doesn't it must feel like going outside sans underwear.
For starters, I can say that I am happily married and the mother of two teenagers. I live in South America. I work at a school and in my free time, is there such a thing as free time for a working mom?, I love to read, cook and surf the Internet.
OK, that's it! I am about to publish my first tiny blog post. 1, 2, 3...Jump!

Double Vision: The Joys of Photography

For over thirty years I have been passionate about photography.

From my first film camera to my first point-and-shoot, and now my professional grade EOS digital cameras, I see things first with my eyes and then through the lens.

While my eyes find something about a subject that draws me in, when the camera lens separates my eyes from the subject, another dimension is added. It is always great fun for me to see how my right brain interprets what lies before me. I never quite know until the images have been captured in digital form.

The tag line for my business has long been 'Embracing the Varied Beauty of Life'; and yet there are two distinct views of what I see and how I capture it. Any photographer will likely tell you the same thing.

However, for me, it is one of the pure joys of photography. Allowing my intuitive and creative self interpret what my physical being is able to absorb in totally new and exciting ways.

Get out there with your camera, no matter how simple or sophisticated - and let your two worlds collide in images that reflect more than you know you are at that moment. Happy shooting!

A Raw Deal

On any given day, over the past twenty-five plus years, I have craved chocolate in some form. Nothing unusual for me. I'll take it as I can get it. However, I am gradually shifting toward a raw food diet and have found the raw treats I make even better than the old sugary confections of years past. Who woulda thunk?

With fresh, raw almonds, raw cocoa, and organic dates, the beginnings of a delectable treat begin; and oh so simply. I merely toss all into my food processor (which has been working out more than me lately), reach in with my hands, and press it into a tight crust with my palm into a shallow bowl or pie plate.

Next up - fresh fruit. I typically take a banana and whatever fresh fruits I have in the house; often blueberries or strawberries. I reserve some of the berries, and once, again, all go into my trusty food processor (I don't bother to rinse out the crust, as what little bit remains, adds a tiny dash of texture to the soon-to-be pie.) Once mixed, I gently stir in chopped or whole berries, depending on their size) into the mix and pour it over the crust.

After as little as an hour in the fridge - sometimes it does not even make it to the fridge - it is ready to eat. With a soothing cup of green tea, it is a little taste of heaven. And all during the process, other than a bit of raw cocoa, I've not thought about, nor missed, my usual chocolate at all.

If you're thinking of switching to a raw - or mostly raw - diet, starting with an occasional dessert of fresh fruits and nuts can be an encouraging, delicious, and healthy way to start! Bon appetite!

Spin zone: an attempt at blogging

We've all heard that you can't teach an old dog new tricks, however, if this dog can sift through all the information out there on beginning blogging, I know anyone can. At present, I've read so much and through someone elses blog, I was lead to this pre-course to write my first blog. I will admit that I'm not so sure I am bandwagon material and although there is still much that I don't understand, there is a bit of excitement that comes from trying something new. So, with that I am on my way to the next step in blogging, or at least trying to attempt it.

the joey blogs

My mascot in high school was a kangaroo! Can you belive that? I could have been a mustang or a knight, but no I was a kangaroo. I guess it could have been worse; if we hadn't moved I'd be a spartan! Once a roo, always a roo!

The Mommy Cell

I can't say that this is the first time that I have ever posted to a blog. However, the first time was so long ago that I barely remember it. I do remember feeling like I didn't have a clue what I was doing or why I should post it on a blog.

Now here I am again. I am a stay at home mom that homeschools my 2 children. I have previously been a trainer and a school teacher. Now I have volunteered to be an inmate in the Mommy Prison. Don't get me wrong. I love my children and also love homeschooling them. Yet there seems to be less and less time for me. At this point if someone asked me how I do it, I could honestly say "I don't know".

Really, hat's off to all the women who stay at home with their children. This is indeed the hardest job I have ever had. It also doesn't end at any fixed time. I found it easier though much less rewarding to go off to work outside my home.

Another detail about me is that I am someone who had children later than most. Though for me is is a little shocking, there are women my age with grandchildren the same age as my children. At times (though rarely) I have been asked if my daughter was my granddaughter. This of course is never flattering. Yet I proudly claim my place as mom and move on.

Perhaps because I had children later than most, I am so consumed by this role. Really I do not know the reason why. I do wonder however if there are other women out there who are experiencing the same of similar feeling and encounters with other. Well, the fact that I do not personally know any of them does make me feel like I am in a world all my own. As I think about this I imagine that this cannot be the case as there is hardly anything exceptionally unique about my situation. Perhaps I will one day (thanks to a blog) hear from others like myself.

Intro

I'm a homeschooling mom of three kids! Trying to learn something new and keep up with the times - even though I'm already way behind! I hope to start a blog to track my oldest kid's high school through homeschool adventure next year.

Using Blogging as a Branding and Marketing Tool

I own run a property management company and have seen that over the last 2 years advertising for apartments has changed dramatically. It use to be... and not so long ago that a classified advertisement int he Newspaper would get you tons of phone calls. Well not any more! Granted the economy has a lot to do with it. But there are people out there looking for apartments and I have to find them and they have to find us.
Newspapers have shrunk in size both in articles and advertising. Newspaper advertising is outdated and outmoded. There are many on line sites that will advertise your apartments but you are listed with every other apartment in the neighborhood and all the advertisements begin to look the same. We must find a way to differentiate ourselves from all the other apartments out there and I think that blogging is a great way to do it.
I am looking forward to a new marketing campagn this year using blogging as the back bone.
I have however zero experience in doing this so I signed up for the course. I am very excited and have great expectations for this new venture.

I want to know what all the blogging fuss is about. I hear text and tweet and blog and shudder. That means that I, literally, shudder. I've got to catch up, somehow. I've got to get out of an older-than-boomer-comfort zone. This is my chance. In ten years, it won't matter at all, but this year it matters!

RubyG

My first introduction to blogs, as with many people was getting addicted to a celebrity gossip blog. First it was Perez Hilton, but a friend turned me onto the the Superficial and the humour there amused me more. Plus I was linked easily to the sister sites Geekologie and IWatchStuff. They are all great. I have had trouble finding more blogs that I like as much, so I figured I would try writing one myself. The celebrity gossip niche is more than inundated, so I have steered away from that subject. There are several that I can choose from. The hard task is choosing the right one.

My spare time

My spare time passion is quilting.

I have enjoyed this hobby for 4 years now, although I have been sewing since I was 11 years old.

I will tell you the most enjoyable part to this hobby for me is designing in my mind the quilt pattern and picking the fabric. The fabric choosing for me is the closest thing to Nirvana that I know here on earth. The colors, the texture, and the endless possibilities keep me going back for more.

Here is one of my favorite links that I go to again and again for fabrics.http://fabric.com/. The prices are great and they showcase some of the best fabric designers in the quilting world.

Here is one of the quilts I have finished recently. Couldn't quite figure out how to move the picture down to this area. I am just learning. Hope you enjoy this blog

Just beginning

Hi, I am a 50 something year old who has never blogged before today and I am truly excited about this new venture. There are places to go on the World Wide Web that I can only dream about going right now so the blog sites out there will have to do.
People to meet, relationships to build, places to see if only in my minds eye right now. To all you new bloggers out there I bid you happy blogging along with me.

This is my first blog class

I have been studying Social Media for the past 9 months, mostly on Facebook. I have attempted to set up a blog but my blog doesn't look very professional.
I am going to learn how to do this and I am going to help others do this. Sometimes we just need to be shown how to do something.

This is where a series on YouTube in conjunction with my blogger blog will be great.

My blogging! Past, present,an future.. (No spell check, so sorry!)

I'm a forty year old single woman with alot of free time on my hands, I guess you can say that im a "Total blog virgin".
When it come's to blogging, I no nothing about it , the term's used, or how, when, & why, I would write one.
That is until 2 days ago.
While looking for a "work from home" job online, which is a total crock of stuff.
I came across a job opening for a "Blogger" (i dont even no if thats the correct term, but oh well.)
After reading the add, I thought, WOW! This is something I do everyday for the fun of it, when I write in my journal.
So, I looked up an online blogging coarse, and after weeding out all the fake site's and warding off the forcefully sadistic people trying to take over my computer, or sell me a bunch of stuff I don't need, I found myself here,& writing my first blog with in the first 24 hour's of finding it.
I am, by no means, saying or suggesting that it's a good blog, but, it's a blog either way!

Need Help Blogging

I'm a writer. I've been invited to join writing blogs, but don't know how to post my stories or include a photo of myself. I also have ideas for a blog and don't know how to begin. I need help. That's why I'm here.
