I Know Nothing!!!

This strange yet addictive world "The blogoshpere" is completely new to me. Not long ago i struggled just to turn a computer on. Now i'm going to try and get my head around the whole blogging concept, so far this course has been easy to follow and informative even for a complete techno virgin like myself. Enough waffle here goes, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Trying something new in technology

This is a new area for me, although I work with technology everyday both personally and professionally. I like to keep up on all the ways to use media, but I especially like the lingo that goes along with the forms. Reading other people's blogs is something I have done on quite a few occasions; the people that write about their experiences other places in the world is very interesting!

Set Sail on the Blogging Seas

I come to this course as a neophyte blogger. Does that make me a neoblogg? Being able to navigate the the large ocean of the Internet, I feel fairly confident that I am capable of learning the rudiments of sailing the Blogging Seas. It sounds as if your expert tutelage will assure me of the ability to step behind the wheel of this ship and successfully sail these uncharted waters. Provided, of course, that I can remember all the language.

Signing off....

Introduction

I have plenty of experience reading blogs - especially those dealing with homeschooling - but no experience (until now!) with writing a blog.

Why all the fuss about blogging?

Curious about why everyone wants to blog. Do you really want everyone to read what you write?

Hello, and all about me!

Hi! My name is Eliy. I like mac & cheese, and love Horses. my favorite subject is math. I am home schooled. my house is in a small town with few farms. I have 4 Best friends, that live a ways away  from me.

Introduction of a Social Network Phobe

I loathe posting on Yahoo groups and email forums, even the ones I created! How can I possibly start blogging? I'm going to put my toe in the water just a bit. How bad can it be?

why i'm here

i am trying out this blogger course to see if it would be a good thing for my 11year old son. i just started homeschooling him this year, and i am trying to find things that are more "true to life" to teach him. i believe that children can, and will learn better if they are learning things that they are actually going to use in life, not just memorizing some arbitrary facts out of a text book.
and i won't lie, i also thought it would be interesting for myself as well. i have done a few blogs myself, but feel terribly "technologically behind" compared to many.

Back to School time!

Geez, this assignment feels like one of those "What I did during my summer vacation" essays I wrote on the first day back to school in the fall, you know...forever ago when I was a happy-go-lucky kiddo with serious back to school worries like whether or not my Trapper Keeper was a cool color. (Does anyone else remember those?)

Let me further impress my old English teacher by claiming that my favorite hobby is reading. I do love to read, and just about anything will do. I read on the net, get books from the library, and oh, how I love to browse in a bookstore. I've been a bookworm since
first grade or so
when all those neat phonics started making sense into words. A bookworm was born! Ah, so much to read, and so little time.

Not only will it get you good grades in school, but it's good for you too! Learn the ways of the bookworm here. Now wasn't this fun, kids?

Feeble Urgency of Now

Of course I'm looking forward to learning all about blogs.  I'm considering blogging about dogs and logs.

Sunday

Sunday is a day for rest, a day of relaxing, a day free of stress.
So why am I working, slaving away?
The answer, of course, I have bills to pay!

Soul Purpose

I'm a stay at home mom and a Soul Purpose Business Owner.I had experience with blogging. And I think my blog be boring, too many words, even though I discuss topics that people can relate to.

Yoga... namaste...ohm....

Yoga...mind, body, soul...

My most calming moments over the past twelve years have been the moments I stand on my yoga mat and practice. It might be outside while viewing the Montana mountains, in the stark flats of the Arizona deserts, on the sands of Pacific Beach in San Diego or while standing on the cool west range of the Denver Rockies.

Introduction

Hi Everyone,

I am taking a Pre-blogging class and this is my first post!

I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I am a teacher with a charter school that is home based. I worked with 36 students and their parents to help them home educate their children. I love my job!

I have 3 boys ranging in age from 21 to 10. My oldest is a senior at Humboldt State University. My two younger children are home schooled. My husband and I have been married for 23 years and he is the joy of my life.

I love technology. I am a newbie in this field, but hungry to learn all that I can.

Cybertutor becomes a cyber blogger!

I am a new blogger but I realize that I have blogged already. I blog on Facebook, iZoca, and informally in Yahoo groups. I like writing and want to exercise and get to be a regular. I need to get disciplined. I hope blogging helps with that.

Super Mom

What can I say, I am the best taxi driver, maid, chef,Dr.Nurse,Coach, counselor, referee, preacher, chaufer, teacher,Secretary, mechanic and counselor. I am having a blast! Well, I certainly hope that learning how to blog is more fun! Look out blog world here I come!

Greetings from the Midwest

I am a father of two beautiful girls, with a third baby on the way. I've been reading blogs for years now, and know I'd never want to start one myself since I'd spend WAYYY too much time on it. Instead, I am taking this course so I can teach my 9 year-old about blogging. This will be a great place for her to keep her writing assignments and book reports, I hope.

Practice Post

Hey all whats up. just here bla bla blab alaa

Introduction

I am a middle school reading teacher. I have taught for 15 years, mostly in the elementary grades. I am trying to integrate technology into my class so that I can engage the students in their learning. I have seen blogs and read a little about them BUT I am new to blogging.

Super Human? No Mother!

Hi all! I am a mother to a terrific yet terrible three year old little boy. I have a feeling that the majority of my posts will be about our rollercoaster life and how I venture into becoming a "Mother" daily. Even though I have been doing this whole "mom" thing for three years everyday is like the first.

I have never blogged, but I have read a few. I use to enjoy writing when I was younger and I really don't know why I stopped? I am hoping this blogging coarse will document and personalize me through my words.

So, How do you get a three year old to listen? I believe this question calls upon super human strength because I just can not figure it out. While I was dropping "T" at school today his teacher was sure to pull me aside and inform me that "T" called her a pig yesterday. Yeah! Wow! Right! Now this is not a phrase that I use. However, when he told his teacher that he was going to kick her a**, that sounds a little familiar. I don't beat or "kick my kid's a**" even thou many tell me I should.
Ok, so maybe this bloggin stuff is good. I just figured it out! It's not T, it's me!

Gosh..

In my free time...

My favourite hobby is karate.
I have enjoyed doing this hobby for about 19 months now.
I like doing karate for several reasons. Firstly it is a great way to keep fit, you definately feel that you have had a good workout after a karate session. It is also very sociable, you get to meet new friends in the dojo and also enjoy all the social events too. There is also a great sense of achievement as you aquire new skills and progress through the grades, with the ultimate goal being a black belt. I also like the competition side of it and have entered a couple of kata competitions - with some success!
Check out bbat50's great karate blog site.

Blog runner...

My favorite hobby is running.
I have enjoyed running for about 35 years!
I love the feel of wind in against my face and the joy of endorphins!
If you want to run faster, read this blog.

I'm a mystery!

Hello blogosphere! This is my first blog post - how exciting! I don't know a thing about it, but it looks easy enough. If you were hoping for the "autobiographical masterpiece" mentioned in the directions, sorry to disappoint but I don't know who's reading this, so I'll choose to remain a mystery a little longer. Very cool though. I like it!

Who am I anyway?

There was a time when I thought I had a lot to say. Now that it's easy I find myself almost speechless. Some say I'm a deep thinker, but I see myself as someone who is inherently curious. I like to hear what others are thinking. I like to see them searching inside themselves to find out who they are and where they are. But most of all I like challenging what people believe. Not to tear it down, but to see the foundation it is built upon. And I like to do the same with myself. I don't know how I feel until its there in black and white. Then I question it, revise it, and question it again. Back in the days of the printed page, so many things worked themselves out as I designed the page. Now, in this electronic era, I find the backspace key is my constant companion.

New Blog

I've blogged before. Of course, no one would know that because I chickened out after writing a couple of fantastic articles and didn't make them public. The thing is, I wasn't sure what to do next. Once I went public, I mean. How did I invite someone to view my blog, and how could I post to theirs? How could I get anyone to find my blog?

I have a plan for teaching through my blog now, but first, I have to be taught. Today is my "second step." I'm ready to keep walking.

rookie blog test...yikes!

I'm completely new to this great form of communication (isn't that obvious!) but determined to learn enough to post something someone somewhere may enjoy - - not very high aspirations I suppose, but its a start. Good luck to my fellow rookies and happy blogging ;-) maybe we'll cross cyberpaths? again.

Learning to Kick Ass a little harder!

Hi, I started a new blog about 1 week ago and soon realised that I don't really know what I am doing! The blog is called: KickAssSueC.blogspot.com and is intended to be a karate blog. I've put 4 posts out so far and received 1 comment back. I've also posted a few comments on other peoples blogs and entered into some e-mail correspondence with another blogger (which is how I learnt about this course). I suppose that's quite good progress in a week! I've visited several other blog sites and have been impressed with the quality of presentation and the mix of photos/videos/text - they look very professional. I would like my blog site to look more impressive to other people so I'm hoping to learn how to do that. I had intended to keep my blog very focused on discussing karate and not discuss my personal life particularly, unless it has some connection with my karate. My husband and sons have explicitly told me that they don't want to be blogged about so I have to respect their privacy. However, I also notice that other blog sites offer quite a range of different articles, topics and posts, only loosely connected to their blog topic, that add variety to their blogs and spice them up a bit, so I think I need to look at how I can do the same thing on my blog. There is also a lot of blogging jargon to get your head around and I gather a bit of technical know how wouldn't go amiss to truly personalise my blog. I was a bit disappointed that a search engine can't find my blog so I'd like to learn how to make it more visible on the web. I could probably learn all the things I want to know on my own using trial and error but I'm sure the quickest and most effective way to learn will be by taking a blog writing course.

New blogger

Wow, this is not as hard as thought it would be. I am new to blogging and very excited about it so let's get started.

new to blogging

i like mud bogging. i don't know what to write.

ruralmama joins blogging course for fun and adventure!

"Hi, I'm ruralmama.......and I'm a blogger".
"Welcome ruralmama".

Ok, it's not quite a 12-step group but my past blogging experience has proven that often it can feel like one. I blogged for over a year on blogger and had a few awesome experiences and a few really nasty ones. Goes to show that individuals can sometimes have powerful opinions and loud voices. I thought that taking this course would be a good step to take before jumping in again.

Looks like a good choice.

Starting from here

This is where it starts. Just like a child taking his first step. I wade into the kingdom of blog.
I know nothing about blogging. I've been told for years that I should try it, but had decided it wasn't a neccesity. Life is busy without piling on more. I'm no guru of technical or technicality. I like to spend time with my family. I'm a private person. Why would I want to blog? The phone was always handy if I wanted to say something to someone.
So why do I want to learn to blog now? Life and times change. I still keep busy with my family, and I still don't like to talk about myself much. However, there comes a time for change. I'm starting a new career, and am anxious to see where it leads. Blogging would be a plus, and, it never hurts to learn something new.

Blogging

Blogging, I have no idea what blogging is or how to write a blog.

Getting back into the computer world!!!!

It's been more than a year that I have been without a computer and I am looking to get back up to speed with the current online world. I've noticed blogging is a big deal now so definitely want to get into it. I am also starting my own online research business so I would think it would be useful in that regard. Thanks for the opportunity. AB

Working down the "to do" list...Blog

I am a technologist and organizational manager on "recess."  I realized that I had achieved all of my goals that I had set for myself as a technologist and manager.  So after nine years at my last organization, I decided that I needed to find something new.  Before I tackled my next professional gig, I decided it I wanted to do somethings that I never got around to:  take up a new sport; spend much more time with my family; and add a bit of value to world that wasn't necessarily engineering.  So far, I've become a proficient indoor rock climber (it'll be a loooong time before I achieve mastery!); I've cooked, cleaned and gotten to know my family much better; I've met and connected to many interesting people; and I've worked down some of my "to do" list. Next up....Learn to Blog.

Hi, I've created a blog for a trip but I don't know much more about blogger than that.

To Blog or Not to Blog

Am learning how to blog, wondering what's it all about! Should I do it? What is my purpose for blogging? Is it worth it?'
Let's see after I finish my free blogging course. You can also try it thru the website below: http://www.blogwritingcourse.com/learn_to_blog/course/

Wanting to Blog

As a homeschooling mother I want my children to learn to share their thoughts and ideas in the written word but they don't like to put a pen to the paper. I thought that maybe by showing and sharing a few postings that I had done it would encourage them to also start writing. I did not have the confidence to share it with anyone other than my immediate family.

Hello new to blogging group

Hello,

I am a married, self employed 42 year old mother of two, living in rural northern Michigan.  I am looking forward to learning how to blog well in order to better serve our business.  And for personal gratification. Our family has used time4learning and are using time4writing now. I look forward to another great course from this great family of companies.

New to blogging!

Hello! My name is Dawn Ickes and I am a new blogger. I teach 8th grade language arts and have an at-home business. I have a blog I have posted to twice because I don't understand the phenomenon and how it all works. This is why I am here. My mom is blogging about the grandkids but I want to blog about my home-based business to try and generate customers. Not sure how to do this. I also want a blog or maybe a twitter page for my students to check out as communication w/ them. Lot of questions, glad I found this course!

First-time blogging

This is my first time trying to blog. Hope you understand. I love to learn new things everyday. My friend sent me this website and I decided to try it. Thanks. Maguila

Hmm..

Wonder what to write ?

hindi - really ?

Free Lessons on Baring your Soul on the internet

I am always a sucker for learning something new...especially if it is Free. Today I found a free blogging course. I am no stranger to computers but I have refused to enter the new age of bloggin up until now. I am hoping that this will give me the impetus to set up my own site and set the world on fire with my writing.
At a seminar the other day (also free) someone asked the host how to keep copyright control of your work when you post it on the web. I thought, "she just doesn't get it" copyright is a thing of the past. The internet is for sharing. If someone takes your work, they need it more than you.
Anyway, here goes the free blogging course. At least I will learn what a meme is. I always thought it was a mean mama.

My Favorite Hobby

My favorite hobby is crocheting
I have enjoyed crocheting for about 5 years
I enjoy crocheting because I like to see thread or yarn turn into something.

Blog what?

Yes, I know nothing!
Teach me please.
The only way to stay in the "know" is to learn before my daughter, right?
Maybe I can turn this into income too. Hope so.
A Neophyte

My blogging experience

I started hearing about blogs years ago. I got into digital scrapbooking and have seen a lot of blogs made by others who do digital scrapbooking. I have also heard from others at my church who have blogs and read them occasionally. I just haven't decided if I want to start one because I don't know what my purpose would be. I am very reserved about what I want to share, too. I also don't know if I have time for adding to a blog daily.

Maiden Voyage

After accidentally reading many blog posts, I've decided to learn more about blogging and give it a try.  It feels a little like the first time I learned to swim.  I'm sticking my toe in to see whether or not I'll drown.  Hopefully I'll be able to blog faster than I learned to swim.

Interested in Blogging

Hi there. I am totally new to this whole idea of blogging. I am a wife and a mom of three growing kids. I have homeschooled my kids for most of their lives but i have put them in regular schooling the past year. I love to write and i hope blogging will be my avenue to do it.

Hiya!

Hey! I joined this course to learn a bit more about blogging, though I have 2 blogs already. Bye!

Total Nonsense

There's nothing about this course that really makes sense to me. And, certainly, no one is ever going to see this, I assume. And you know what that means.

IMHO Blog

Okay, yet another new blogger is born. What shall I say? What would you like to hear? Shall I quote poems, movies? How about the funny things my children say (and they do say some funny things!) Or maybe I could tell jokes, debate politics (actually me debating politics would be a joke!) or discuss theology. Or maybe I could do a big brain dump and get all the random thoughts in my head online and into someone else's head! Before I connect brain to fingers and take off I'd like to ask - what would you do??

Hello

I have tried to start a blog on wordpress but don't feel I'm getting all I can out of it. I need direction. Thanks

Introduction

Hi, I am new to blogging. I have read many blogs and enjoy reading them but have never posted a blog.

Anxious to learn

Hi, my name is Heidi Kearlsey. I am trying this course out to see if I can learn anything new. I have a blog for my home based preschool and one for my family but I hardly ever post things. My sister blogs all the time and uses her postings for her "Journal" entries. I would like to start doing this too. I want to learn more about how to make my blogs more inviting and fun to read. I have just started learning how to do wall paper and slide shows but I want to know more.

My Quest for Blogging Wisdom

I have heard so much about blogging, and to be completely honest, after some research, I have come to find that it requires a little skill. I would think that creating a blog would just be like writing in a personal journal, except that you would be posting it online and sharing it with the world. I think I am partially correct.
I feel, however, that I need to acquire and refine my skills in this area, as writing is something I enjoy doing. Sharing it with others is an exciting idea, making money doing it is even more exciting!! So, I'm here to learn and grow. I am really looking forward to expressing my ideas, sharing common interests with others, and building relationships.

My Blogging Experience

I listen to a radio talk show called Kim Komando the "digital goddess" and she was talking about ways to make money online. I went to the link she described and found that blogging is a good way to make money online. I need to learn all that I can about blogging so that I can know exactly what I'm doing.

A new way to keep in touch with old friends

Within a week or two, my children, my pets, and I will be hopping on a plane and flying out of the United States. My husband is anxiously awaiting our arrival in a western European country where we will begin the adventure of a lifetime. I look with longing toward the day that we are reunited. I have some trepidation in leaving what is familiar. I think of those around me that I have grown to love and cherish and know that none of us is guaranteed even a single day more. I have shed tears- of joy at moving forward, of sorrow at leaving loved ones behind, of remembrance for the special moments that I have shared with family and friends, of fear of leaving all that I know.
A friend from church today suggested that I blog as a way to share our lives over the miles with those we leave behind. I feel so truly blessed that I have touched him and that he cares what will happen in our lives. I feel truly blessed that I live in this time of computers, internet, and web logs. I think back often on women of the pioneer days whose husbands would have gone off into the wilderness. If they and their husbands were literate-they may have exchanged letters. These letters might have taken weeks, months, or even years to travel the distance. There would surely not have been room for the little everyday memories. How blessed we are to be able to communicate in an instant if we desire to do so.
God alone knows what is in the future for our family. With a new blog, my friends and family will know where He leads us and how we go about living out this new adventure. Again I say-I am blessed.

Difficult Sunday

OK, so this was the first Sunday morning I felt well enough to go to church since Christmas, and my grandson had been complaining bitterly about not being able to get to Sunday School. I went to the eight a.m. service and then started to drive over to his house to pick him up. He always gets upset if he's late to Sunday School....and so I got almost to his house and there was a State Trooper behind me with his lights going on, uh-oh. I said to the officer, "What did I do, sir?" and it turns out that way out there in the country there is a school zone that I had gone through too fast, yes, on Sunday morning. WAY too fast. Ugh! I was really upset because I don't need a ticket on my insurance. Fortunately the trooper was merciful and he gave me a citation for not having put on my new registration sticker yet. But I'm so shook up that I can hardly function this afternoon.

first timer blogging

this is the very first time I have ever written a blog! I guess now i am no longer new at it!

Me [in] a NUTSHELL

Hello World!

I recently retired from the Air Force and now I'm a SAHM! I have two daughters, 12 and 10. I currently live somewhere in South Carolina and hope one day that I will live somewhere NOT in South Carolina.

I actually started 2 blogs, but got discouraged because I didn't know what to write and I didn't get any comments. I deleted them both. I read lots of blogs everyday and I LOVE them! I kind of wish I could write something interesting enough that others would want to read it. I'm trying to find my NICHE. I love to scrapbook, but there are LOTS of scrapbooking blogs. And scrapbooking is about the only think I LOVE to do. I can't think of anything else to talk about, except of course, my wonderful family. :)

Well, this is me [in] a NUTSHELL.

Ciao!!!

oldschool learner

hi i am new to blogging i 've only heard of it since i took a weight loss class i never used nor do i know how i hope i can learn from this class
My mom is always worried about the blog. She is worried about I might talk about too personaly or who is watching my blog or a lot.

1st time for everything

I have been very interested in blogging. I have read, with amazement, my friends and family blogs and wondered "where do they come up with the ideas to write?" So I have only an outsiders knowledge of blogging. I do have a little computer experience taht I am hoping will at least make that part of this a little easier.
I am a stay at home Mom now after working full time for about 15 yrs and have also taken on homeschooling my youngest. I have a beautiful family and I now wonder how I managed to work full time. I am looking for a place to put my thoughts and share the joys in my life and blogging seems to be the place.
I look forward to learing more.

All About Me

I am a mom of three boys and we have just recently become a homeschool family. Although I have had college computer courses blogging is something I know nothing about. I thought that it was time to get onboard if I was going to be able to teach and monitor what my children were up to. I also thought that a blog might be a really great place to share with family, friends and the curious just what our homeschool family does.

Hello World

This is my very first blog. I have only read a few blogs (three or four). I am interested in learning more about blogs and what all the excitement about them is. When I first heard about blogs, I could not understand why anyone would want to read someone else's diary or why someone would want to make their diary public. It seems to be very different from a diary.

trying out blogging

Wala lang gusto ko lang subukan mag blog at mag karoon ng bagong lilibangan

I like to write children's books.
I've been writing them for 2 years.
I love to write. It's my creative outlet. I love to write children's books because I have children- it's my gift to them, and because there's just something magical about children's literature.
Check out this blog for info on the world of publishing Children's Literature:

Testing, Testing, 1,2,3....

My name is Becky. I'm wondering if the "Blogosphere" is the place for me. I have several blogs that I follow regularly, mostly ones about home renovations. I'm trying to become a published author and I'm hoping that a blog will help me to practice my craft on a more regular basis. My fear is that I'll not be witty or splashy enough to succeed. I don't want to be a web log wallflower....
I have a favorite hobby. I really enjoy reading.
I started reading books when I was around 8.

I find reading fascinating because you can go all over the world without leaving your home.

To insert a link into a post, type the words you want to be linked and highlight them. Choose the (in Wordpress) (in Blogger) from the editor options. This will open the window pictured below. The options here will be slightly different depending on where you're blogging, but the idea is always the same. It will want a web address and a name for the link.

In the Link URL space, add the web address of the site you want to link to.

For the Target space, you can decide if you want the link to open in a new window or the same window. If you leave it as is is, it will typically open in the same window by default.
In the Title space, add the words that you highlighted.
Select Insert

Add a picture that represents your hobby.

To insert an image, you'll choose (in Wordpress) (in Blogger) from the editor options, which will open the window similar to the ones pictured below. As with the link options, these will be slightly different depending on the WYSIWYG editor you are using, but the basic idea is the same.

You will be asked for an image URL - This is the web address of the file.
You will also generally be asked for a description (or alt tag) for your image - This is what people will see if they cannot see your image. It's a good idea to add a short description there.

God is Patient! God is Good!

My heart is grieved for those lost and without Christ. Oh! What joy they are living without. Yet they do not know what they are missing do they? Then there are those of us that have acknowledged our sin and have asked for forgiveness and then are either content in our state of salvation or are pressing toward the "high calling."

God has been so patient with me. He has loved me and guided me through the times that I was content. And God is good because he loved me so much that he didn't allow me to stay content. He doesn't have to prove himself to me. He is the "I AM" and always will be. But because he loved me he drew me to him and showed me over and over again his faithfulness and his greatness.

I thank and praise the Lord for his never ending mercies and his bounty of goodness in my life. May he ever and always keep me drawn to him.

Here I am, blogging my way through life.

I have just begun the Blogging Pre-Course at blogwritingcourse.com and hope to learn a little more about how to use blogs well in this course and Blogging 101.

I love yoga, music, walks on the beach, backpacking in the mountains, my kids, dog, cat, and husband most of all. I'm a well-adapted INFP who is currently studying for a degree in psychology and a certificate in yoga therapy. I need a lot of alone time, but I love being around people who are authentic, compassionate, intelligent, and good humored.

My first blog

I am interestedin knowing how to do a blog. It seems like a fun way to stay in touch.

Intro

I do not have a blog of my own, but I do follow a couple of my friends' blogs. I am eager to see what all I can learn from this course.

Profile

I am totally new to blogging, but I am anxious to find out how doing it right can help me and my business.

Life After Divorce or How to be Happy without a man in your life

You can be content in life without a man. While a relationship with a man is the frosting on the cake...it really is the cake that has the substance. My point is...don't settle for less than what you deserve...an absolutely scrumptious cake!
