Cre8

I spend most of my free time creating. Sewing, crafts, knitting, cooking. When I'm not creating I am spending time on my computer, surfing websites for new ideas or reading others' blogs. As a new goal for myself this year I want to create something new: a blog which will showcase some of the things I create. I hope to attract a large audience of others who like to create things and plan to include tutorials with instructions about some of my projects. I have lots of ideas and have been journaling about some of these. I would love to see these ideas become reality on my own blog.

Challenges of Older Single Women

I've finally reached the place in my life where I'm realizing its likely I'll never meet that special someone and the reality is I don't think I care.

At this point in time the most important issues are my health and my family. Both are challenging.

Intro : About Me

Hi there,

I'm a new addition to blog writing course. I'm quite new to blog and had been working to increase traffic to my blog since then. I happens to know blogs from a friend. He is encouraging me to create a blog since he thought that my writing is quite OK, so here I am.

Blogging 101

!Making a blog worthy of reading is something you can learn from Blogging 101!

I already have a blogger account but no one is reading it and it seems like I would have to pay to get real exposure. Just giving it to family and friends is not a real solution. I am frustrated with this because it's just like a personal journal and I want to share with the entire world. The other thing I do not get is that I have to find a "nitch" which is something I love to write about and can write about as an expert. It's the narrowing it down to ONE THING that I cannot seem to handle right now. My expert knowledge is in Cosmetology but I am no longer in that field of interest. I have moved on to the legal world as a Paralegal. It amazes me that attorneys nor the general public KNOW what the Paralegal is able to do! Yes, a legal secretary but more glorified and able to do everything but charge for services, represent clients in court, giving legal advice or accepting clients. Yes, paralegals perform the same functions as an attorney. They can recognize and evaluate relevant facts and legal concepts, organize, analyze, communicate, and administer; resolve conflicts, negotiate, and relate well with various types of persons, often when these persons are in distress.

My Blogging Experience

I have very little knowledge on how to use blogs. I did try to set one up about a year ago, which I managed to accomplish, but found that I did not have enough interesting content to keep it going. Or should I say my information was not focused and so I closed it down. Since this time I have seen a huge increase in the use of blogs and it has sparked me to get my own started again with more of a focus on what I want to talk about. Plus I would love to know how to link different information sites and really get a feel for the full capabilities of blogging, because previously all I knew how to do was add content. So there you have it, this is my knowledge and experience of blogs. I look forward to learning more and getting my blog off the ground with the help from www.blogwritingcourse.com

Thanks for reading!

Kind Regards,

Janet

So you want to know all about me?

He walked through knee deep snow, the icy wind snapping at his face like an angry terrier. He was only a mile from the hospital, he could even see the large clock tower on the hospital grounds through the trees as the wind moved the large branches. His journey had taken almost an hour, battling the elements and now his hands and feet stung as the blood flowed back into them. he hobbled gently up to the maternity ward, clean and warm and smelling of talcum powder, he had no idea of what to expect. There in front of him was his wife of 10 years, she was holding a bundle of blankets and although she looked tired she had a glow, a radiance about her he had never seen before. She looked over at him and smiled, he made that last few steps relatively pain free, she opened the blankets to let him see what lay inside, his eyes widened, his face slackened and he fainted. Thanks Dad, not what I was expecting as a reaction from you!

It got better from then on, blessed with two of the most loving and caring parents I grew up healthy and relatively happy. An only child with a highly active imagination I went through the 60's and 70's being everything from a cowboy to an astronaut and many other things in-between. My father had the wanderlust, he was always looking for something, a trait I am happy to say I have inherited from him and one that has led me around the world several times and the opportunity to live in some of the most magnificent cities in the world.

Now in my mid 40's I am relatively settled here in the USA, England being my birth home, although my poor wife constantly puts up with my never ending desire to move somewhere new and meet new people!

So my new 'adventures' are to be a virtual kind and I intend to use blog writing as a way to live some of my adventures vacariousley through the internet - maybe I will see you on one of my adventures!

Puppy Collecting

I love puppy collecting!

I have been collecting puppies for 2.8 years now - wow, it's hard to believe!

I love them because they are biodegradable (and therefore green).

Here's a great place to find puppies: http://www.aspca.org/

This is my amazing first post!

Raised by the wolves - and hungry

My name is Aitcheff and I majored in English and Folklore until I decided that I liked to eat often - and well. Since that time I've been a photographer, writer and all around paddlebum.

For those not familiar with the term, paddlebums are people who will use any excuse to get into a canoe or kayak. My most often used excuses are "research" and "I think I've got a story here." The only thing that saves from spouse and kids is that I often do come up with a story from the trip.

Like all paddlebums, I'd love to hear your stories. When was your last trip? Where did you go? Why was it such a great experience?

What's So Special About Me?

What's so special about anyone? It seems everyone has a blog these days. Everyone is so special and we all seem to be eager for some kind of pseudo celebrity. Heck, I bet my dogs are secretly logging on to Blogger while I'm at work. I wonder if they could help me learn WordPress? Blogging seems to be the bandwagon everyone is clamoring to jump on. Am I clamoring as well?

My purpose of dipping my foot in the pool of endless blog content is to feel like I am participating. Of course, I'd love to learn a little along the way. But who wants to read a blog where I'm "learning" and writing down a stream of semi-conscious ramblings? What makes my blog so special?

Now, I know this isn't exactly autbiographical but at least it's a place to start. In the meantime, here's a
short video about starting a blog to get the creative juices flowing.

Joker Collecting

I'm interested in finding or joining a community around one of my interests: joker collecting.

don't actively collect jokers but still, I tend to keep getting them. Today for instance, I cleaned out my wallet. These six jokers were there, recently collected. The two M&M jokers were bought by me in New York and the M&M store. Now, who would have thought that an M&M themed store could possibly support the rent for a Times Square retail space.

The two top jokers are pretty common although the smaller joker, scanned upside down, is a little unusual.

The other pair of jokers are a little uncommon although not strikingly original or beautiful.

Now I have a technical question on joker collection. I would count these six jokers as six different jokers. The two M&M jokers have different color type. The others are each strikingly different in color although not in design. Is there a convention as to how you count different jokers?

My first shot at blogging!

I have always wanted to write, but it seems like every time I sit down and try, words just won't flow. I can talk to anyone. Never met a stranger in my life, but to try and put my thoughts down on paper is not particularly easy. I've never blogged. I've done a few forums and I have a Facebook page, but this is virgin territory for me. I'm excited about it. Now to figure out what I want to blog about!

Transformational Ventures in Florida

When you think of transformational ventures you think of northern CA, maybe LA , NYC, research triangle, Boston but Florida? Scripps has a major arm here now. So do other famous research institutes. The major investment banks have branches here. The state has poured money into medical and biotech. The state committed another $250 million last year to help fund new ventures. We are not talking about a new dry cleaners or restaurant (although they are worthy ventures). The state has its eye on transformational ventures, green technology, biotech, medical research and tech and other emerging areas.

Angel Investors and potential Board members abound --- those former CEOs of major companies, fund managers, investment bankers, and successful entrepreneurs play golf for a month, get bored and create business cards saying "semi-retired". Despite "Bernie" the wealth in Palm Beach County of full-year residents and "snowboards" is still enormous. Even Bill Gates is looking for a home on Jupiter Island. I should know --- I am on the Board of the Penn Alumni Club of the Palm Beaches, attend the MIT Enterprise Forum events (I was on the Board of the MITEF in NYC for 7 years), and work with the Wharton Club of South Florida, and attend many conferences.

So what are some of those transformational ventures? Check back as I discuss them. The Harvard Club, Yale Club and Penn Club of the Palm Beaches is about to have an event at Scripps so I will let you know about its new ventures. Can you spot a transformational venture in Florida? Post it and let us see if it gets a thumbs up or down as a good idea and venture you would invest in.

Join me and have some fun as we create a blog of the best and worst transformational venture ideas in Florida.

Hello fellow classmates. Just signed up for the Blogging 101 course and am working my way through the free course. What do I know about blogging? Well, I read blogs daily, sometimes intentional, sometimes not. And I even have a starter blog on blogger.com, but here's the sad story: I never finished the dang first post! (writer's block...) So that's about what I know. Am looking forward to learning more.

Making the Leap

Hi all -- I'm relatively new to blogging but certainly not to writing newsletters and articles. Most recently -- and for the last 2 years -- I've been writing a blog for a local tourism association. Many of the articles have been about the group's activities or related news to the specific industry.

I love to travel, to cook, and to write. Now I'd like to "make the leap" to having a blog on my own.

My problem at the moment is deciding how to narrow my interests to one topic that would be of interest to my readers.

Favorite Hobby

It's amazing what an affect something that is done when you are young (to earn a few extra dollars) becomes your favorite pastime and the love of your life. I'm talking about music - playing the guitar to be exact, what a fantastic way to relax, de-stress and just plain enjoy.

This is the kind of hobby you can start out in your tender teenage years and leave in the background for many years (25) then suddenly it gets hold of you again and your hooked.

Because for many reasons guitar playing and to a lesser extent music had been left to hide in the shadows, when I rejuvenated the bug - it has bit even harder than I remember, guitar playing and music have now become a pleasurable pursuit that makes all previous hobbies pale in comparison to the magic of music.

New Blogger

I am new to blogging and would appreciate any help on offer. Hopefully this course will provide the raw data required to get started.
My previous experience with blogging amounts to reading several blogs and liking the freedom that writing blogs seems to allow, I have never attempted to write a blog apart from this (which is quite an effort - I hope it gets easier).
I am really in awe of the people who seemingly at the drop of a hat can write prolifically on many and varied subjects.

Coaching vs. Coach able

As a "newbie" it dawned on me how much 'I don't know what I don't know', yet! Therefore as I begin, I am aware that the only way I can actually learn, absorb and apply these NEW tools and lessons is by reading, doing & following the experts in their step by step process. The teaching some agree, I'm NOT alien to. I do-do a lot (most of which IT likely is) in my professional, training & recreational life, except for there 'I' am usually the teacher or the 'Coach'. I've also realized in this exercise how much 'a-must' it is for ME to be 'coach able' and willing to learn. THAT is a challenge for me & most. I am now A Kohai (translates as "eager student"), a term used frequently in the Dojo or a classroom for Martial Arts where I spend a great deal of time. Thus, my title. My Goal IS, I suppose is; to make a difference in mine & others lives by expressing myself through this Blog and what it is like for me to learn how to write & participate in a maybe a not so NEW but for me, still a kind of abstract Viral Medium which, we ALL are seeing and hearing grow at an eXponential rate! So, please join me as I take my first steps, as a White-Belt if you will, on journey & experience I hope shall take us wonderfully fulfilling, hopefully humorous and maybe even exciting places...

Intro from a Real Army Wife

Oh, don't get me wrong: I am totally addicted to the show, "Army Wives" but it is a bit overly dramatic...but only a little! My name is Jenn and I am a real army wife. I am also a mom to four kids: one that is doing virtual public school, two that I am homeschooling and the youngest is doing a combination of outside preschool and preschool at home! We are also a split family which certainly makes things interesting. I've learned so very much about parenthood, home organization and housekeeping, and homeschooling. I can't wait to start blogging on my own so I can share my tips with other families and learn some new ones, too!

Hello World!

I'm here as part of the Blog Writing Pre-Course and I'm ready to make my mark on the digital world. Look out Seth Godin, I will soon knock you out of the king of the hill spot in the blogasphere. I already have a blog called What Matters but sometimes I run out of things to talk about. I'm hoping this class will inspire me to get back to my blog and be more faithful in using it to focus on what matters in life instead of things that don't.

My First Blog

This is obviously my first attempt at blogging. I am interested in starting a blog about extreme poverty. I feel this subject is under reported by the mainstream media. I hope to write about this topic and receive feedback from individuals who are also concerned about this ongoing crisis. Perhaps we can develop enough interest to actually make a small difference in the lives of so many who are suffering.

dad homeschooler

hey! i'm currently an endangered species, called dadus homus schoolerus. In plain English, that means I am the father of two grade-school aged boys, I work from home, and I home school both boys. Life as an endangered species is interesting, to say the least. The expressions on some folks' faces are priceless when my wife and I inform them we home school. However, when we tell them I (the dad) am the one who is the home schooler, it's over-the-top! Thanks for reading my bloglet.

Full time Mom, Part time Librarian

I never realized how much time and energy it would take to raise four children. They exhaust me and they have also given me the fondest moments of my life. I could talk about them, and I do, all day. Having four children also means that my house is not the neatest. I'd much rather push them on the swing or kick the ball around. Being a mother is my number one priority and joy, but it doesn't pay well so I also work part time at the Library. I enjoy my job and will enjoy it even more when my kids are all in school. It is very saddening to have to leave your 1 & 3 year old to go to work. Not being able to pick up your elementary kids from school because you are still at work. I am just thankful that I can spend more time with them than I do at work. Being a mom is the most rewarding job ever!

Here goes nothing

Previous experience with blogging - none. Like to read them - always wonder what I could write about. Can I even write? Why would anyone be interested in what I have to say? Well, I am hoping this course will release my inner blogger. We will see!

Seniors Ever tried to sleep in a factory?

How can we sleep with all that blower noise?
My previous hub page was about the ceiling falling to to floor. Please read and then continue here. It's an ordeal for sure.
Seniors, have you ever heard factory blowing noises all the time somewhere during your youth? Well just try to sleep with all that going on. You see, the floors were so wet with tons of water, after the carpet was pulled out, that Serv Pro had to install 15 blowers blowing all over the floor and in some places pointed up to the ceiling, trying to dry it out. They unfortunately said it would take several days. SEVERAL DAYS!!!! The place sounded like a car wash sounds as it is blowing your car dry coming thru the chute. OK Just have to bear it So at 11:50 pm that fateful night the Clean up guys left us with all the blowers going full blast. HEY NOW WHAT HAPPENED! All the lights are out. It's dark in here. Yeah I know Circuit breakers. Ok get the flash light.
Go down in the basement with the flash light and trip the breakers back on. Good back on. Wham back off again. WHAT? Think. OK I know I've got to unplug some of those blame high powered blowers. It's drawing too much electricity. Right? Yeah ---this Senior knows a thing or two. Try it out, trip the breakers again and GOOD, lights are on and the remaining 12 blowers are working. Yeah, I learned all about that when I was in my 30's. Who says us Seniors forget???
Go upstairs and turn on the big house air conditioner. WHAMMO NO LIGHTS ANYWHERE. I mean not just some breakers but everything. Wow, the Spouse is really STEAMING. I'm glad it's dark. She at least can't find me. OK got to think. What is it?? Got to think like they taught me in Military School back in the 50's.
YEAH It has got to be the MAIN ELECTRIC COMPANY BREAKER OUTSIDE the house. Right oh for sure. Ok first cut the air conditioner upstairs off. It was drawing too much power with all these other high power blowers going. THE SPOUSE IS STILL YELLING saying what in the blank blank blank am I going up and down the steps for, get some blame lights on. A great thinker has to learn to work under distractions, so I'm up for the task. Us Seniors know how to do it, right??
Now still got flash light, going outside to the power company box. Open up the box from the bottom side like I had seen it done. OK where is the blankety BREAKER?? Oh yeah that must be it. It's larger than I had expected. All right, now turnnnn it off all the wayyyy off just like I had seen that done also. And, now turn it on again, right? RIGHT! LIGHTS ALL ON. Us Seniors have won again.
Ok so back to the sleeping. We had lots of blowing air but no air conditioner. It sounded like a factory as I said, but you know what? I slept six straight hours. That's good for us Seniors Right?
More next time
Mr.C

How oblivious can one be?

Up until now I have no experience following, reading or writing blogs. Oh, wait... I did stumble upon that great cookie recipe. That was a blog. Also ran into this list of links for funny videos. Ok, I admit I want to write a blog about my own interests, but never got around to it... until now. This is me learning how to write a blog.

My first Blog

Well, I am here to learn how to write a successful blog. I have joined a local martial arts academy and want to keep track of my progress as well as inform my friends and family about my experiences. I will probably make a ton of mistakes along the way, but will look at it all as a learning experience.

About my impending involvement in the blogosphere.

It's about time to become involved in this most 21st century undertaking. Being a child of the 20th century appears to be minor impediment which can, indeed, be overcome with a bit of online education and personal application.
That's what this exercise is all about.

WATCH OUT! Here we come!
that's all for now

All About ME ME ME

New to the Blog World, thought I would give writing a go. I love to express myself as my family and friends would tell you. I am a mom, friend and unemployed....... My favorite place in the world is the beach. The sound of the waves, the salt air and the warm sun can melt all troubles and blues away. As Kenny Chesney sings so poetically, " The sun and the sand and a drink in my hand..." That is my approach to life, what happens happens for a reason and it is up to us on how we handle the many waves that come our way, no matter how big the swell keep your head above water and swim.

First time for everything

Hi, All
This is my first time to post to a blog. By profession, I'm an advertising copywriter. I work over the internet from my home in the mountains of western North Carolina. I'm preparing to move to Costa Rica and I want to create a blog about my adventures, or misadventures. I hope lots of people will be interested in reading single woman boomer retirement. I will also cover the booming cosmetic surgery and reconstructive dental markets. And whatever else I discover.

blogging: to do or not to do

Facebook, blogging...what should I do?
As far as facebook is concerned, after many invites for getting on the bandwagon, I've tried to debate myself out of it. The thing is I still can't see a meaningful benefit of this kind of "social networking". Many people have turned it into a tool for self-projection. Then with an apparent competition on having the largest network, facebookers have aquired a long list of superficial friendships. And lastly, I can't overlook the complete loss of privacy on facebook: What should be private has become a public affair, for others to see and comment on. So, I don't know really if its such a good idea, in spite of the fact that I know it's so popular that I can become unpopular by just commenting against it!
Now with blogging, there seems to be more room for sensible, useful interaction. And that's what has lead me here, hoping that after exploring it through this course, I can convince myself of making good use of this oppurtunity to connect with people. And btw my name is Hadeed.

Hi, I am new to the world of blogging, about two weeks into this and I thought I'd find a resource to gain perspective on what blogging is and what it is used for because I want to utilize it as a service to people in my company! Nam Myoho Buddha Girl!

Hello! This is my first blog post. Until this morning when I began my research I knew almost nothing about blogging. It is amazing how quickly you can learn something new with a few clicks and a little time.
Right now I am chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo a million times with specific goals for my life. I'm about to go into my 25th year of chanting Nam myoho Renge Kyo and I've had incredible results so far.
This campaign of chanting (called a "Million Daimoku Campaign") will create incredible lasting benefits in my life. I wish to share these with everyone and help people learn about the incredible Buddhist practice of chanting.

Hello I am new to this blogging although I have had www.FleegerFamily.blogspot.com for over a year now I have just recently realized that I can do more than just update my out of town family about my kids on here. Getting to know me

I am Sandy. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, neighbor, employee, manager, entrepreneur, runner, swimmer, photographer, cake baker, and housekeeper. But probably not in that order. I am funny, tired, exciteable, loyal, and chatty, but probably not in that order. I love my kids, my husband, cookie-dough topping on my frozen yogurt, and tuna melts, and in that order.

I am tired

This is the first thing that came to mind when given the assignment to write a blog. I am tired. Currently at this moment in time, I am tired of my spouse.... ( I still love my spouse) just tired of my role in this marriage. I need a break. I am a parent also and kids............ WHEEW! Where are the other parents out there. My kids are still young, so they are still so so innocent which is a good thing. But their energy makes me feel old sometime. I always prided myself about being the young buck in the group, but my kids jump on me, run around me, pull on me... I am like KIDS I NEED A BREAK LOLLLLL!

I am just tired. I need sleep. I want sleep. I want a nanny. I want a maid. I want more money. I want a freaking vacation by myself. I need some me time, so I can come back renewed, restored and refreshed.

Novice Blogger

My name is Steve and I live in California and I would like to be a Blogger and be part of the Blogger community.
As the title says I am a novice at blogging. I have made attempts at it but have failed miserably. I have interest in blogging but have no knowledge, maybe just a little, but not enough to really crasp what it takes to be a pro-blogger. I have read about bloggers making money by blogging, whether that true or not I would like to find out for myself. Anyway I am on a Pre Course program right now and just taking each steps at a time and then just see what happens from there. I hope I can succeed in this subject.

I know nothing about blogging

Since I want to keep up on what's happening in the world of computers, it's time I learned about blogging. I read professional blogs, but never really thought much about learning to set up my own or what can be accomplished through blogging. The ability to convey messages and sell products through blogging is facinating and something I want and need to learn. All knowledge is useful.

New To Blogging

After doing much research, I came across this free blogging course to get started blogging. So far it's been very interesting and I am interested in continuing on to become a professional blogger for income.
I have worked for employers and myself and find working for myself is a better fit for me. Employers tend to come and go for me and I don't care for the pressure from them and as to whether or not I will have a job the next day.
One of my passions has been to write and I believe blogging will be a great start to get into the industry.
I'm not certain as to what I will blog about at this time, but I'm sure I will think of something.

There are so many voices to be heard on the internet with blogging so popular now. I would like to have my voice heard too. I've never blogged before, but I hope what I have to say will capture other people's interest. I like to write, but I have no idea yet what I want my blog to be about or to say. We'll see where this experience takes me.

My very first Blog.

Well, here it goes. I don't really know where to start but I've got this gut feeling about this Blog stuff. So I keep on learning and will see where it take me.

All about me

I am a newbie blogger checking out this course. The hope is that I can start a food blog that someone maybe remotely interested. I love cooking and trying out new recipes; I also like to share those recipes, so a blog seems the perfect place to do this.

A Wannabe Writers Dream ~ Blogging!

Here I am, a want to be writer in my 'early' senior years with the world of blogging enticing me like a candy shop tempting a small child. Wow, I can hardly believe it! I can write to my hearts content about the subjects I love to write about and not have to think about newspaper or magazine submissions, editors or even my lack of formal training in writing. Thanks to blogging, I can write what is in my heart, click the 'post' button and feel as if I have truly accomplished something.

Yes, I know what you are thinking. Just because I have written something 'from my heart' and hit the 'post' button doesn't mean anyone except me has, or will read it. This is precisely the reason I wish to take a course in blogging. Hopefully I will learn how to create an interesting blog that will draw a few curious folks in to visit. However, even if no one else except me ever reads one of my stories or inspirational pieces, I will continue to find satisfaction in writing them because writing what is in my heart brings healing to my soul. And, God willing, maybe someone else will stumble across something I have written and find a small bit of healing, as well.

A Newblogger's First Blog

Well, I've done a lot of writing and read a lot of blogs. This, however, is my first post on a blog. I am a bit of a technodummy. I've been wanting to create a blog for some time but it always seemed beyond my limited internet abiltities. Enough now. No more procrastination. Thousands of people have blogs so how hard can it be? I shall get a simple blog up and running and share my thoughts with the world in the hope that the world will share its thoughts with me.

In the beginning....

Where do I begin....
Sometimes I feel very ordinary. A working mother of 2 trying to juggle kids, husband, home, job, career, health, spirit, friends to name just of few. I blend in well. There are sooooo many of us all trying so very hard to do our very best. so why doesn't anyone ever perfect it ??? Its hard work staying positive and confident when it's actually physically impossible to juggle aaaall of those things and not drop a bundle or two. You have to stay on your game mentally as that is the only bundle that YOU have complete control over. That is the only place that you can beat the ordinary and without changing too much be extraordinary. And that is where my blog begins....

QUOTE OF THE DAY: What ever you can believe, so you can become.

First Attempt at Blogging

I absolutely love reading other peoples blogs. It's so fun discovering that so many other people see things the same way I do. It makes me feel more normal & more connected to people outside my own world. Their ideas spark my own creativity, give me different perspectives on things and let me see get glimpses into the lives of people I'll never meet.

It's amazing at the talent I've come across. I love the beautiful photographs, the words chosen just right to keep you coming back for more. Through blogs you can live different lives!

That is why I have chosen to learn how to blog. I have so many ideas, but limited knowledge on how to go about expressing my thoughts in a unique and interesting way.

Completely new to blogging

I'd like to introduce myself as someone who is completely new to blogging, but just can't get it out of her head! I am excited about this course and truly hope I don't embarrass myself too badly. Won't know if I don't try!

I'm a newbie to the world of blogging, as many others out there. I have taken the first baby steps by starting to learn as much as possible before starting my own blog. Wish me luck...

Photographing People is what I love.
I've been snapping for 15 plus years.
The joy of this hobby is that you can capture the relationships people have with each other through the medium of pictures.
One of my favorite wedding photographers is King and Spivey

Hey Blogging World,

I have been a stay-at-home mom of 4 kids for the past 20 years. My career was in systems analysis/internal consulting and problem solving for a major airline. My education is in Industrial Engineering. I am also a photographer and a writer. I have home schooled and taught in other arenas. I am an analyst with a bent toward efficiency in everything I approach, but I also bring a very creative visual and wordsmithing talent to the table. I eeked out onto Facebook at my college-aged daughter's urging, but I added way too many of my kids' friends to that venue...my facebook page is filled with the innane details of their lives. ha. I would love to be an effective and succinct blogger so that the limited time I have to spend online will be effective, and the product will be helpful for the reader.

Favorite Hobby

I love to travel to new places, so I guess that is my favorite hobby.
It is something that I have enjoyed for my whole life, even though it was much longer
and more uncomfortable to go places when I was much younger.
One of the reasons that I love to travel so much is the unless number of new
experiences that I can (and do) have! Even places that I have been more than once always offer something new or things that I have never discovered. Some cities, like Washington,DC give a lifetime of adventures that could never repeat.

I Know Nothing!!!

This strange yet addictive world "The blogoshpere" is completely new to me. Not long ago i struggled just to turn a computer on. Now i'm going to try and get my head around the whole blogging concept, so far this course has been easy to follow and informative even for a complete techno virgin like myself. Trying something new in technology

This is a new area for me, although I work with technology everyday both personally and professionally. I like to keep up on all the ways to use media, but I especially like the lingo that goes along with the forms. Reading other people's blogs is something I have done on quite a few occasions; the people that write about their experiences other places in the world is very interesting!

Set Sail on the Blogging Seas

I come to this course as a neophyte blogger. Does that make me a neoblogg? Being able to navigate the the large ocean of the Internet, I feel fairly confident that I am capable of learning the rudiments of sailing the Blogging Seas. It sounds as if your expert tutelage will assure me of the ability to step behind the wheel of this ship and successfully sail these uncharted waters. Provided, of course, that I can remember all the language.

Signing off....

Introduction

I have plenty of experience reading blogs - especially those dealing with homeschooling - but no experience (until now!) with writing a blog.

Why all the fuss about blogging?

Curious about why everyone wants to blog. Do you really want everyone to read what you write?

Hello, and all about me!

Hi! My name is Eliy. I like mac & cheese, and love Horses. my favorite subject is math. I am home schooled. my house is in a small town with few farms. I have 4 Best friends, that live a ways away  from me.

Introduction of a Social Network Phobe

I loathe posting on Yahoo groups and email forums, even the ones I created! How can I possibly start blogging? I'm going to put my toe in the water just a bit. How bad can it be?

why i'm here

i am trying out this blogger course to see if it would be a good thing for my 11year old son. i just started homeschooling him this year, and i am trying to find things that are more "true to life" to teach him. i believe that children can, and will learn better if they are learning things that they are actually going to use in life, not just memorizing some arbitrary facts out of a text book.
and i won't lie, i also thought it would be interesting for myself as well. i have done a few blogs myself, but feel terribly "technologically behind" compared to many.

Back to School time!

Geez, this assignment feels like one of those "What I did during my summer vacation" essays I wrote on the first day back to school in the fall, you know...forever ago when I was a happy-go-lucky kiddo with serious back to school worries like whether or not my Trapper Keeper was a cool color. (Does anyone else remember those?)

Let me further impress my old English teacher by claiming that my favorite hobby is reading. I do love to read, and just about anything will do. I read on the net, get books from the library, and oh, how I love to browse in a bookstore. I've been a bookworm since
first grade or so
when all those neat phonics started making sense into words. A bookworm was born! Ah, so much to read, and so little time.

Not only will it get you good grades in school, but it's good for you too! Learn the ways of the bookworm here. Now wasn't this fun, kids?

Feeble Urgency of Now

Of course I'm looking forward to learning all about blogs.  I'm considering blogging about dogs and logs.

Sunday

Sunday is a day for rest, a day of relaxing, a day free of stress.
So why am I working, slaving away?
The answer, of course, I have bills to pay!

Yoga... namaste...ohm....

Yoga...mind, body, soul...

My most calming moments over the past twelve years have been the moments I stand on my yoga mat and practice. It might be outside while viewing the Montana mountains, in the stark flats of the Arizona deserts, on the sands of Pacific Beach in San Diego or while standing on the cool west range of the Denver Rockies.

Introduction

Hi Everyone,

I am taking a Pre-blogging class and this is my first post!

I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I am a teacher with a charter school that is home based. I worked with 36 students and their parents to help them home educate their children. I love my job!

I have 3 boys ranging in age from 21 to 10. My oldest is a senior at Humboldt State University. My two younger children are home schooled. My husband and I have been married for 23 years and he is the joy of my life.

I love technology. I am a newbie in this field, but hungry to learn all that I can.

Cybertutor becomes a cyber blogger!

I am a new blogger but I realize that I have blogged already. I blog on Facebook, iZoca, and informally in Yahoo groups. I like writing and want to exercise and get to be a regular. I need to get disciplined. I hope blogging helps with that.

Super Mom

What can I say, I am the best taxi driver, maid, chef,Dr.Nurse,Coach, counselor, referee, preacher, chaufer, teacher,Secretary, mechanic and counselor. I am having a blast! Well, I certainly hope that learning how to blog is more fun! Look out blog world here I come!

Greetings from the Midwest

I am a father of two beautiful girls, with a third baby on the way. I've been reading blogs for years now, and know I'd never want to start one myself since I'd spend WAYYY too much time on it. Instead, I am taking this course so I can teach my 9 year-old about blogging. This will be a great place for her to keep her writing assignments and book reports, I hope.

Practice Post

Hey all whats up. just here bla bla blab alaa

Introduction

I am a middle school reading teacher. I have taught for 15 years, mostly in the elementary grades. I am trying to integrate technology into my class so that I can engage the students in their learning. I have seen blogs and read a little about them BUT I am new to blogging.

Super Human? No Mother!

Hi all! I am a mother to a terrific yet terrible three year old little boy. I have a feeling that the majority of my posts will be about our rollercoaster life and how I venture into becoming a "Mother" daily. Even though I have been doing this whole "mom" thing for three years everyday is like the first.

I have never blogged, but I have read a few. I use to enjoy writing when I was younger and I really don't know why I stopped? I am hoping this blogging coarse will document and personalize me through my words.

So, How do you get a three year old to listen? I believe this question calls upon super human strength because I just can not figure it out. While I was dropping "T" at school today his teacher was sure to pull me aside and inform me that "T" called her a pig yesterday. Yeah! Wow! Right! Now this is not a phrase that I use. However, when he told his teacher that he was going to kick her a**, that sounds a little familiar. I don't beat or "kick my kid's a**" even thou many tell me I should.
Ok, so maybe this bloggin stuff is good. I just figured it out! It's not T, it's me!

Gosh..
Spirit

In my free time...

My favourite hobby is karate.
I have enjoyed doing this hobby for about 19 months now.
I like doing karate for several reasons. Firstly it is a great way to keep fit, you definately feel that you have had a good workout after a karate session. It is also very sociable, you get to meet new friends in the dojo and also enjoy all the social events too. There is also a great sense of achievement as you aquire new skills and progress through the grades, with the ultimate goal being a black belt. I also like the competition side of it and have entered a couple of kata competitions - with some success!
Check out bbat50's great karate blog site.

Blog runner...

My favorite hobby is running.
I have enjoyed running for about 35 years!
I love the feel of wind in against my face and the joy of endorphins!
If you want to run faster, read this blog.

I'm a mystery!

Hello blogosphere! This is my first blog post - how exciting! I don't know a thing about it, but it looks easy enough. If you were hoping for the "autobiographical masterpiece" mentioned in the directions, sorry to disappoint but I don't know who's reading this, so I'll choose to remain a mystery a little longer. Very cool though. I like it!

Who am I anyway?

There was a time when I thought I had a lot to say. Now that it's easy I find myself almost speechless. Some say I'm a deep thinker, but I see myself as someone who is inherently curious. I like to hear what others are thinking. I like to see them searching inside themselves to find out who they are and where they are. But most of all I like challenging what people believe. Not to tear it down, but to see the foundation it is built upon. And I like to do the same with myself. I don't know how I feel until its there in black and white. Then I question it, revise it, and question it again. Back in the days of the printed page, so many things worked themselves out as I designed the page. Now, in this electronic era, I find the backspace key is my constant companion.

New Blog

I've blogged before. Of course, no one would know that because I chickened out after writing a couple of fantastic articles and didn't make them public. The thing is, I wasn't sure what to do next. Once I went public, I mean. How did I invite someone to view my blog, and how could I post to theirs? How could I get anyone to find my blog?

I have a plan for teaching through my blog now, but first, I have to be taught. Today is my "second step." I'm ready to keep walking.

rookie blog test...yikes!

I'm completely new to this great form of communication (isn't that obvious!) but determined to learn enough to post something someone somewhere may enjoy - - not very high aspirations I suppose, but its a start. Good luck to my fellow rookies and happy blogging ;-) maybe we'll cross cyberpaths? again.

Learning to Kick Ass a little harder!

Hi, I started a new blog about 1 week ago and soon realised that I don't really know what I am doing! The blog is called: KickAssSueC.blogspot.com and is intended to be a karate blog. I've put 4 posts out so far and received 1 comment back. I've also posted a few comments on other peoples blogs and entered into some e-mail correspondence with another blogger (which is how I learnt about this course). I suppose that's quite good progress in a week! I've visited several other blog sites and have been impressed with the quality of presentation and the mix of photos/videos/text - they look very professional. I would like my blog site to look more impressive to other people so I'm hoping to learn how to do that. I had intended to keep my blog very focused on discussing karate and not discuss my personal life particularly, unless it has some connection with my karate. My husband and sons have explicitly told me that they don't want to be blogged about so I have to respect their privacy. However, I also notice that other blog sites offer quite a range of different articles, topics and posts, only loosely connected to their blog topic, that add variety to their blogs and spice them up a bit, so I think I need to look at how I can do the same thing on my blog. There is also a lot of blogging jargon to get your head around and I gather a bit of technical know how wouldn't go amiss to truly personalise my blog. I was a bit disappointed that a search engine can't find my blog so I'd like to learn how to make it more visible on the web. I could probably learn all the things I want to know on my own using trial and error but I'm sure the quickest and most effective way to learn will be by taking a blog writing course.

New blogger

Wow, this is not as hard as thought it would be. I am new to blogging and very excited about it so let's get started.

new to blogging

i like mud bogging. i don't know what to write.

ruralmama joins blogging course for fun and adventure!

"Hi, I'm ruralmama.......and I'm a blogger".
"Welcome ruralmama".

Ok, it's not quite a 12-step group but my past blogging experience has proven that often it can feel like one. I blogged for over a year on blogger and had a few awesome experiences and a few really nasty ones. Goes to show that individuals can sometimes have powerful opinions and loud voices. I thought that taking this course would be a good step to take before jumping in again.

Looks like a good choice.

Starting from here

This is where it starts. Just like a child taking his first step. I wade into the kingdom of blog.
I know nothing about blogging. I've been told for years that I should try it, but had decided it wasn't a neccesity. Life is busy without piling on more. I'm no guru of technical or technicality. I like to spend time with my family. I'm a private person. Why would I want to blog? The phone was always handy if I wanted to say something to someone.
So why do I want to learn to blog now? Life and times change. I still keep busy with my family, and I still don't like to talk about myself much. However, there comes a time for change. I'm starting a new career, and am anxious to see where it leads. Blogging would be a plus, and, it never hurts to learn something new.

Blogging

Blogging, I have no idea what blogging is or how to write a blog.

Getting back into the computer world!!!!

It's been more than a year that I have been without a computer and I am looking to get back up to speed with the current online world. I've noticed blogging is a big deal now so definitely want to get into it. I am also starting my own online research business so I would think it would be useful in that regard. Thanks for the opportunity. AB

Working down the "to do" list...Blog

I am a technologist and organizational manager on "recess."  I realized that I had achieved all of my goals that I had set for myself as a technologist and manager.  So after nine years at my last organization, I decided that I needed to find something new.  Before I tackled my next professional gig, I decided it I wanted to do somethings that I never got around to:  take up a new sport; spend much more time with my family; and add a bit of value to world that wasn't necessarily engineering.  So far, I've become a proficient indoor rock climber (it'll be a loooong time before I achieve mastery!); I've cooked, cleaned and gotten to know my family much better; I've met and connected to many interesting people; and I've worked down some of my "to do" list. Next up....Learn to Blog.

M blogger

Hi, I've created a blog for a trip but I don't know much more about blogger than that.

M

To Blog or Not to Blog

Am learning how to blog, wondering what's it all about! Should I do it? What is my purpose for blogging? Is it worth it?'
Let's see after I finish my free blogging course. You can also try it thru the website below: http://www.blogwritingcourse.com/learn_to_blog/course/

Wanting to Blog

As a homeschooling mother I want my children to learn to share their thoughts and ideas in the written word but they don't like to put a pen to the paper. I thought that maybe by showing and sharing a few postings that I had done it would encourage them to also start writing. I did not have the confidence to share it with anyone other than my immediate family.

Hello new to blogging group

Hello,

I am a married, self employed 42 year old mother of two, living in rural northern Michigan.  I am looking forward to learning how to blog well in order to better serve our business.  And for personal gratification. Our family has used time4learning and are using time4writing now. I look forward to another great course from this great family of companies.

New to blogging!

Hello! My name is Dawn Ickes and I am a new blogger. I teach 8th grade language arts and have an at-home business. I have a blog I have posted to twice because I don't understand the phenomenon and how it all works. This is why I am here. My mom is blogging about the grandkids but I want to blog about my home-based business to try and generate customers. Not sure how to do this. I also want a blog or maybe a twitter page for my students to check out as communication w/ them. Lot of questions, glad I found this course!

First-time blogging

This is my first time trying to blog. Hope you understand. I love to learn new things everyday. My friend sent me this website and I decided to try it. Thanks. Maguila

Hmm..

Wonder what to write ?

hindi - really ?

Free Lessons on Baring your Soul on the internet

I am always a sucker for learning something new...especially if it is Free. Today I found a free blogging course. I am no stranger to computers but I have refused to enter the new age of bloggin up until now. I am hoping that this will give me the impetus to set up my own site and set the world on fire with my writing.
At a seminar the other day (also free) someone asked the host how to keep copyright control of your work when you post it on the web. I thought, "she just doesn't get it" copyright is a thing of the past. The internet is for sharing. If someone takes your work, they need it more than you.
Anyway, here goes the free blogging course. At least I will learn what a meme is. I always thought it was a mean mama.

My Favorite Hobby

My favorite hobby is crocheting
I have enjoyed crocheting for about 5 years
I enjoy crocheting because I like to see thread or yarn turn into something.

Blog what?

Yes, I know nothing!
Teach me please.
The only way to stay in the "know" is to learn before my daughter, right?
Maybe I can turn this into income too. Hope so.
A Neophyte

My blogging experience

I started hearing about blogs years ago. I got into digital scrapbooking and have seen a lot of blogs made by others who do digital scrapbooking. I have also heard from others at my church who have blogs and read them occasionally. I just haven't decided if I want to start one because I don't know what my purpose would be. I am very reserved about what I want to share, too. I also don't know if I have time for adding to a blog daily.

Maiden Voyage

After accidentally reading many blog posts, I've decided to learn more about blogging and give it a try.  It feels a little like the first time I learned to swim.  I'm sticking my toe in to see whether or not I'll drown.  Hopefully I'll be able to blog faster than I learned to swim.

Interested in Blogging

Hi there. I am totally new to this whole idea of blogging. I am a wife and a mom of three growing kids. I have homeschooled my kids for most of their lives but i have put them in regular schooling the past year. I love to write and i hope blogging will be my avenue to do it.

Hiya!

Hey! I joined this course to learn a bit more about blogging, though I have 2 blogs already. Bye!

Total Nonsense

There's nothing about this course that really makes sense to me. And, certainly, no one is ever going to see this, I assume. And you know what that means.

IMHO Blog

Okay, yet another new blogger is born. What shall I say? What would you like to hear? Shall I quote poems, movies? How about the funny things my children say (and they do say some funny things!) Or maybe I could tell jokes, debate politics (actually me debating politics would be a joke!) or discuss theology. Or maybe I could do a big brain dump and get all the random thoughts in my head online and into someone else's head! Before I connect brain to fingers and take off I'd like to ask - what would you do??

Hello

I have tried to start a blog on wordpress but don't feel I'm getting all I can out of it. I need direction. Thanks

Introduction

Hi, I am new to blogging. I have read many blogs and enjoy reading them but have never posted a blog.

Anxious to learn

Hi, my name is Heidi Kearlsey. I am trying this course out to see if I can learn anything new. I have a blog for my home based preschool and one for my family but I hardly ever post things. My sister blogs all the time and uses her postings for her "Journal" entries. I would like to start doing this too. I want to learn more about how to make my blogs more inviting and fun to read. I have just started learning how to do wall paper and slide shows but I want to know more.

My Quest for Blogging Wisdom

I have heard so much about blogging, and to be completely honest, after some research, I have come to find that it requires a little skill. I would think that creating a blog would just be like writing in a personal journal, except that you would be posting it online and sharing it with the world. I think I am partially correct.
I feel, however, that I need to acquire and refine my skills in this area, as writing is something I enjoy doing. Sharing it with others is an exciting idea, making money doing it is even more exciting!! So, I'm here to learn and grow. I am really looking forward to expressing my ideas, sharing common interests with others, and building relationships.

My Blogging Experience

I listen to a radio talk show called Kim Komando the "digital goddess" and she was talking about ways to make money online. I went to the link she described and found that blogging is a good way to make money online. I need to learn all that I can about blogging so that I can know exactly what I'm doing.

A new way to keep in touch with old friends

Within a week or two, my children, my pets, and I will be hopping on a plane and flying out of the United States. My husband is anxiously awaiting our arrival in a western European country where we will begin the adventure of a lifetime. I look with longing toward the day that we are reunited. I have some trepidation in leaving what is familiar. I think of those around me that I have grown to love and cherish and know that none of us is guaranteed even a single day more. I have shed tears- of joy at moving forward, of sorrow at leaving loved ones behind, of remembrance for the special moments that I have shared with family and friends, of fear of leaving all that I know.
A friend from church today suggested that I blog as a way to share our lives over the miles with those we leave behind. I feel so truly blessed that I have touched him and that he cares what will happen in our lives. I feel truly blessed that I live in this time of computers, internet, and web logs. I think back often on women of the pioneer days whose husbands would have gone off into the wilderness. If they and their husbands were literate-they may have exchanged letters. These letters might have taken weeks, months, or even years to travel the distance. There would surely not have been room for the little everyday memories. How blessed we are to be able to communicate in an instant if we desire to do so.
God alone knows what is in the future for our family. With a new blog, my friends and family will know where He leads us and how we go about living out this new adventure. Again I say-I am blessed.

Difficult Sunday

OK, so this was the first Sunday morning I felt well enough to go to church since Christmas, and my grandson had been complaining bitterly about not being able to get to Sunday School. I went to the eight a.m. service and then started to drive over to his house to pick him up. He always gets upset if he's late to Sunday School....and so I got almost to his house and there was a State Trooper behind me with his lights going on, uh-oh. I said to the officer, "What did I do, sir?" and it turns out that way out there in the country there is a school zone that I had gone through too fast, yes, on Sunday morning. WAY too fast. Ugh! I was really upset because I don't need a ticket on my insurance. Fortunately the trooper was merciful and he gave me a citation for not having put on my new registration sticker yet. But I'm so shook up that I can hardly function this afternoon.

first timer blogging

this is the very first time I have ever written a blog! I guess now i am no longer new at it!

Me [in] a NUTSHELL

Hello World!

I recently retired from the Air Force and now I'm a SAHM! I have two daughters, 12 and 10. I currently live somewhere in South Carolina and hope one day that I will live somewhere NOT in South Carolina.

I actually started 2 blogs, but got discouraged because I didn't know what to write and I didn't get any comments. I deleted them both. I read lots of blogs everyday and I LOVE them! I kind of wish I could write something interesting enough that others would want to read it. I'm trying to find my NICHE. I love to scrapbook, but there are LOTS of scrapbooking blogs. And scrapbooking is about the only think I LOVE to do. I can't think of anything else to talk about, except of course, my wonderful family. :)

Well, this is me [in] a NUTSHELL.

Ciao!!!

oldschool learner

hi i am new to blogging i 've only heard of it since i took a weight loss class i never used nor do i know how i hope i can learn from this class
My mom is always worried about the blog. She is worried about I might talk about too personaly or who is watching my blog or a lot.

1st time for everything

I have been very interested in blogging. I have read, with amazement, my friends and family blogs and wondered "where do they come up with the ideas to write?" So I have only an outsiders knowledge of blogging. I do have a little computer experience taht I am hoping will at least make that part of this a little easier.
I am a stay at home Mom now after working full time for about 15 yrs and have also taken on homeschooling my youngest. I have a beautiful family and I now wonder how I managed to work full time. I am looking for a place to put my thoughts and share the joys in my life and blogging seems to be the place.
I look forward to learing more.

All About Me

I am a mom of three boys and we have just recently become a homeschool family. Although I have had college computer courses blogging is something I know nothing about. I thought that it was time to get onboard if I was going to be able to teach and monitor what my children were up to. I also thought that a blog might be a really great place to share with family, friends and the curious just what our homeschool family does.

Hello World

This is my very first blog. I have only read a few blogs (three or four). I am interested in learning more about blogs and what all the excitement about them is. When I first heard about blogs, I could not understand why anyone would want to read someone else's diary or why someone would want to make their diary public. It seems to be very different from a diary.

trying out blogging

I like to write children's books.
I've been writing them for 2 years.
I love to write. It's my creative outlet. I love to write children's books because I have children- it's my gift to them, and because there's just something magical about children's literature.
Check out this blog for info on the world of publishing Children's Literature:

Testing, Testing, 1,2,3....

My name is Becky. I'm wondering if the "Blogosphere" is the place for me. I have several blogs that I follow regularly, mostly ones about home renovations. I'm trying to become a published author and I'm hoping that a blog will help me to practice my craft on a more regular basis. My fear is that I'll not be witty or splashy enough to succeed. I don't want to be a web log wallflower....
I have a favorite hobby. I really enjoy reading.
I started reading books when I was around 8.

I find reading fascinating because you can go all over the world without leaving your home.

To insert a link into a post, type the words you want to be linked and highlight them. Choose the (in Wordpress) (in Blogger) from the editor options. This will open the window pictured below. The options here will be slightly different depending on where you're blogging, but the idea is always the same. It will want a web address and a name for the link.

In the Link URL space, add the web address of the site you want to link to.

For the Target space, you can decide if you want the link to open in a new window or the same window. If you leave it as is is, it will typically open in the same window by default.
In the Title space, add the words that you highlighted.
Select Insert

Add a picture that represents your hobby.

To insert an image, you'll choose (in Wordpress) (in Blogger) from the editor options, which will open the window similar to the ones pictured below. As with the link options, these will be slightly different depending on the WYSIWYG editor you are using, but the basic idea is the same.

You will be asked for an image URL - This is the web address of the file.
You will also generally be asked for a description (or alt tag) for your image - This is what people will see if they cannot see your image. It's a good idea to add a short description there.

God is Patient! God is Good!

My heart is grieved for those lost and without Christ. Oh! What joy they are living without. Yet they do not know what they are missing do they? Then there are those of us that have acknowledged our sin and have asked for forgiveness and then are either content in our state of salvation or are pressing toward the "high calling."

God has been so patient with me. He has loved me and guided me through the times that I was content. And God is good because he loved me so much that he didn't allow me to stay content. He doesn't have to prove himself to me. He is the "I AM" and always will be. But because he loved me he drew me to him and showed me over and over again his faithfulness and his greatness.

I thank and praise the Lord for his never ending mercies and his bounty of goodness in my life. May he ever and always keep me drawn to him.

Here I am, blogging my way through life.

I have just begun the Blogging Pre-Course at blogwritingcourse.com and hope to learn a little more about how to use blogs well in this course and Blogging 101.

I love yoga, music, walks on the beach, backpacking in the mountains, my kids, dog, cat, and husband most of all. I'm a well-adapted INFP who is currently studying for a degree in psychology and a certificate in yoga therapy. I need a lot of alone time, but I love being around people who are authentic, compassionate, intelligent, and good humored.

My first blog

I am interestedin knowing how to do a blog. It seems like a fun way to stay in touch.

Intro

I do not have a blog of my own, but I do follow a couple of my friends' blogs. I am eager to see what all I can learn from this course.

Profile

I am totally new to blogging, but I am anxious to find out how doing it right can help me and my business.

Life After Divorce or How to be Happy without a man in your life

You can be content in life without a man. While a relationship with a man is the frosting on the cake...it really is the cake that has the substance. My point is...don't settle for less than what you deserve...an absolutely scrumptious cake!

Blog Baby

I call myself Blog Baby because I am new to blogging. What I know about blogging can fit on top of a pin head. I've stopped by several blogs but never understood what went on behind the scenes of blogging. I often felt blogging was an interesting concept and thought maybe one day I might try it once if I could get over the fear of being exposed and vulnerable in front of possibly thousands of people. I admire people who get out there and blog until their heart's content and unleash their opinions out into the world. I call that courage and freedom. Kudos to all of the brave bloggers of the world. You are my everyday heroes.

Blogging and me!

I have blogged before. This is the first time I have taken it seriously enough to take a course to blog effectively. I want to create interesting blogs that introduce my thoughts and opinions to others, while also gaining new perspectives.

Presenting me

I am a mild-mannered, nondescript, middle-aged person of average intelligence and no particular distinction. I am of average height and build and therefore of average weight. I prefer not to express emotion, particularly in a public place like this where the world can see me but I do not know anyone. Even if it is completely anonymous. Rather than risk ridicule, I will end my comments right here.

My introduction

I have over 30 years of experience as a CEO in manufacturing and alternative energy industries and have decided to begin a consulting practice. My 'tag-line' will be 'Bridging the Gaps' as I have extensive experience in bridging most of the gaps that a business will face in it's journey from new technology - R&D - Product Development - Manufacturing. I have touched in all business areas from developing and manufacturing products, development of strategic partnerships and raising funds.

I realize that communication will be paramount and will need to establish a web site and a presence through efforts such as blogs and newsletters. I have very little experience with this and am anxious to learn

First Blog From A Newbe

I've been an avid reader of blogs for many years now, but slow to adopt writing blogs as a way to share my ideas. There are many reasons for this, fear of writing, my comfort level with the old and familiar, and the learning curve needed to become proficient with the tools needed. But I've made the commitment to conquer my fears and venture outside my comfort zone with the goal of learning to create my own blog.

My first step was to Google "How to Blog", as you can imagine thousands of results popped up. After some exploring I found a great resource and started an online blog coarse offered for free from BlogWritingCourse. So far so good! I let you know goes.
